Salsa was not very good. It was more tomato sauce than a put together salsa. Main dish- fejita enchiladas. Plate was hot to the touch. Tells me they nuked the dish for a few minutes. Never a good sign at a restaurant, but ultimately it comes down to the taste. I got two enchiladas with rice and beans. Enchiladas- Bland. There was an obscene amount of cheese smothered on top of the enchiladas. Cheese imparted no particular flavor. If I was to compare it to something familiar, it’s like American craft cheese, but white. The enchilada sauce, the thing that makes enchiladas pop, was tasteless. You can see a sliver of red sauce covering the enchiladas, but it could not be tasted. The filling in the enchiladas was sparse. Maybe a slice of a steak and a green pepper cut up per enchilada.
Rice- nothing special.
Beans- nothing special.
For $13 dollars, I was disappointed. I was hoping with the big crowd that I was stepping into a good hole in the wall restaurant. However, I left with an upset stomach....
Read moreI was excited to see Agua Frescas on the menu and I ordered Horchata, only to be informed they do not serve Agua Frescas, which was disappointing. The lunch portions are very small but regular entrees are decently sized for not much more price-wise. They are very stingy on salsa, so prepare to ask for more every few minutes. I'm sad to say that the service is hit or miss. We have had decent, friendly male servers, however the female server we had seemed extremely annoyed to be asked for anything. She brought our food and set it down and asked if we wanted anything else, but didn't even cone ask if everything was okay afterwards. We definitely didn't feel welcome. She seemed aggravated when I flagged her down to refill my son's soda despite the sodas being filled to the top with ice and costing $2.99 each. I like the location as we travel through the town regularly, and I love Mexican food, but I don't know if I will return. We are good tippers, so I know that isn't the problem. Overall it was...

Update:
Food is still good, but service is so bad. After tonight, may not go back. Little teenage brat was only waitress in the place, and she obviously hates customers. We asked her and a cook several times for drinks, an ice water and iced tea, and it took about 15 minutes to get them. She finally brought them, after the appetizer and the entrees, and not only did she not apologize, but seemed terribly put out that she had to bring them at all. And it's not that she was busy. There were a few people at one other table. When we went to pay, no, "How was everything? Thanks for coming in," not a word! To say the least, her tip wasn't so good, and I was angry my husband left her one at all. Probably shouldn't judge the place over one exceptionally horrible experience, but that brat should be fired immediately,...
