Totally worth a visit if you’re in the area. I’m amazed by the volume of candy they were able to fit into this tiny store. You will find candies you love, candies you’ve never heard of, and candies you wish you knew of before. There’s vintage candies that you can’t find in stores. The chocolate ox also has a good variety of saltwater taffy and “barrel candies” like lemon heads and atomic fireballs that you can purchase by the pound. I really love getting malted milk balls here. In fact, if you can only get one thing, let it be malted milk balls. There is an impressive array of truffles and chocolates for those sophisticated chocolate connoisseurs. Also they have ice cream. A one stop shop for almost any candy you’d ever need, and a must go for Nisswa shoppers....
Read moreThis place is always busy and it's extremely overrated. Every time we've gone for ice cream it seems to be frostbitten. With that being said there's fantastic and nostalgic candy selection. As a business owner you should be more concerned about the frostbitten ice cream and less concerned about my review. Maybe you could stop by your shop sometime and test the quality of your products before you sell them. Also a handful of times when we've gotten gummy candies there they're stale and old I did not mention that but let's go! I don't review every spot I stop at the day of. Read moreTraveled more than 10,000 miles to come to this place (no joke: 30+ hours of flying DPS-SYD-LAX-PDX-MSP) and it was fully worth the trip. Their ice cream whispers sweet nothings of creaminess into my ears and is made from the best stuff on earth. Their flavors are crazy inventive - like “kitty kitty bang bang” with cherries and brownies and chocolate or “exhausted parent”with whiskey and caramel - you can’t buy these at any grocery store.
The staff are pretty swag.
