Cocina La Ley Restaurant — Restaurant in Nogales

I should have reviewed this place long ago. We've been there at least a dozen times and it never fails. From food quality to service and fair prices this place is for sure a puro huevo....."La Ley"!!!

It's consistent every time without fail which is uncommon now a days in the restaurant business.

We seem to always get the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, birria tacos, and tostada de ceviche. The bichis is fantastic as well. It the broth from the birria. You just drink it.

They have a rhythm in the kitchen that is unseen anywhere else. That makes the food come out quick, fast and in a hurry and the quality and flavor is never compromised due to the speed.

The batter on the fish tacos is amazing and so is the taste. Same goes for the shrimp tacos. You would swear you're right by the ocean it's so fresh!

The tostada de ceviche is worth getting every time as well. Really, anything you get here is well worth it!

It's a local favorite. A hidden gem of Nogales. I normally wouldn't trust a seafood place so far from the sea, but fresh seafood can be had via Mexico, so it's legit. I usually get shrimp tacos, fish tacos, fish soup, or some combination of the 3. This place is also popular for shrimp cocktails.

You order at the counter and they will bring it to you when its ready. Pay at the counter when you leave. The food will look plain at first, just take it to the salsa bar and finish it off with your favorite salsa, guac, onions, cabbage, tartar, whatever you need, it's on the salsa bar. There is also a plethora of hot sauces and tartar/mayo at the table.

The building is a hole in the wall, but don't let that intimidate you. In Nogales, its about the food, not the building. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you like seafood, you won't be...

I was down in Nogales, AZ today and my business partner suggested we go check out this hole in rhe wall restaurant for lunch, and since he is from Nogales, how could I deny his request. It was one of the best suggestions I have ever been part of! You can't see the restaurant off the main road, so if you don't know it's there, you're gonna miss it. It's a Local favorite and an out of town FAVORITE! I tries the Shrimp Taco, Fish Taco, and Dorado Taco. TASTY!!! Food was fresh, the salsas were great, and the condiments were fresh as well. Authentic MEXICAN cuisine at it's finest. The place was clean, but small and I hear lunch hour gets packed! I can understand why. Lunch for 2 was around $24 including tip. They have an outside Patio as well, and the restrooms are outside and very clean. Highly Recommend :)
