I can only rate the mushroom swiss burger as it's all I have had the last three times I have been there.
Everything else looks great but I'm stuck (literally)on that burger.
The three times I have had it the burger has not failed. It's consistent every time. The onion rings are the same. The whole thing is delicious to he point of being obscene. The patties are cooked perfectly. Amazing char to it. The combination of the sautéed mushrooms with white onions and swiss cheese along with the charred green chili elevate this burger to a much higher level. Even the bun is delicious as it's soaking up all those flavors.
I've had big burgers before but this one is a lot. The two patties, onions, mushrooms, swiss cheese, green chili, etc....then I add tomatoes, lettuce, onion and pickle and this thing is a mandatory two hand operation. If you have the intestinal fortitude to demolish the burger and onion rings you will be rewarded with a seriously heavy stomach in the best of ways. You'll wish the plate was edible. Aside from being heavy in the gut and satisfied you won't really care if you die on your way home or if you pass away in your sleep that night. You'll leave earth truly satisfied. It's so delicious it probably has the power to wipe away all your sins while you're at it!
If I was on death row, before getting zapped or gassed, this burger would qualify for my last meal. I mean it! I call it my death row burger. I have never called any meal that but at least in the "hamburger" category this one made it. First food ever! Many other food categories yet to fill as death row last meal food but this is one item down.
Is there a burger hall of fame? I don't know. But if there was I would nominate this one for it. Even two hours after eating it every time I burped I was reliving all the flavors again. It's that good!!! All this for about $20, drink included.
As long as this is on their menu I don't care to try anything else. This burger is truly an unexpected gem that I was not expecting in the city of...
Read moreName is Albert Frias, I own Frias service llc we do plumbing. I helped Mr. Bracker with the plumbing at Zulas restaurant, Mr Bracker decided not to pay a small balance saying that I walked away on contract, I was open to negotiate but Mr. Bracker does not like to pay bills, or to apply the laws he was sworn to apply and protect, eventually I filed a claim in the courts in Santa Cruz county, Mr Bracker viciously preferred to hire a lawyer and accused me of bad business practices and tried to sue me for delays than to pay the balance hoping that he would win in court. Eventually the judges dropped the case (dismissed it) because of conflict of interests since Mr Bracker works for the county, the courts failed to bring an outside judge to make things right. Mr. Bracker still has not paid the past due amount and several people suggested that I would post a bad review hoping he will pay, I did posted a bad review in Facebook on Mr. Bracker page, now that Mr Bracker lost elections hopefully this judges will put the law before conflict of interest. Also later found out that Mr Bracker never pulled a permit on the remodel he performed at zulas restaurant, hired unlicensed contractors to finish the plumbing (cheaper labor), later found out the some of those labors live across the border (maybe not legal to work on the USA), has not installed a proper backflow for the potable water system, has not installed a proper grease trap. Just another way to say that Mr. Bracker is a true embarrassment to the laws he has failed to represent or to comply at all thanks to the relationship he has developed at the county, county has had a blind eye to enforce its laws at Zulas and has let Mr. Bracker do as he pleases. I have documents, pictures, text messages to prove my...
