Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Nogales

Their food isn't the same as the beginning. Some restaurants tend to serve really good food at the beginning and when they start getting a lot of customers, they start getting sloppy with the food. At some point they served fresh lettuce for the salad then it was the packaged lettuce. Beans started to taste like can beans. Some food doesn't taste like mexican food anymore. Coffee cold. Watery menudo. Sopa de tortilla is very watery, they throw in a few small pieces of other ingredients and that's it. Their cheeseburger was salty. They added pepper to the fries without asking; at the beginning they didn't do that. They never have soda cans. I can keep on talking but there's just so much. I'd rather eat the hospital food. Google maps showed this place closed at 5:00pm. We walked in at 3:45, and the server said they close at 4:00. She said we could only do a take out order, but we couldn’t eat in the restaurant. No sooner had she said that when the cook comes out of the kitchen and said we couldn’t even do a take out order. These people know nothing about customer service. My grandparents owned a Mexican restaurant for over 30 years, and they never once turned away a customer, especially if they walked in before closing time. Extremely rude service by the owner's wife for feedback on their horrible can tasting food. I waited a long time just to get my drink order. When the food came, one bite was enough to make me decide to not eat it. Instead of taking constructive criticism, feedback is taken personal. It's cheap for a reason, they serve better food at the homeless mission across the street. Don't waste your money and don't eat there! Never going back or recommend. One star...
