Las Vigas Steak Ranch — Restaurant in Nogales

The Machaca at Las Vigas is to die for.

I routinely drive from Tucson to have this stuff: if I have to, I slip away on a business day-trip and have lunch there.

I always get the Machaca Plate....YUM! Best stuff on the planet. I get a pound to take home...which makes it easy to explain why I have business in Nogalas so often!

Seriously...I am working in Africa right now...and in 3 days I will land in Tucson; in Five Days, I will be at Las Vigas. If I could eat a double plate I would.

The leftovers (the Machaca plates are big) make the BEST Machaca and scrambled eggs . There is nothing like it.

PS...if you are used to Snowbird Estates Eateries, stay home. This is all different...anything south of Tubac is another world....Wisdom's Cafe, Las Vigas....you are South of the Border once you pass the shopping mall that is Tubac. Stop there. Do not pass. Leave the truly great...

Ohhhhh!!!! They have such good food!!! Their beans and flour tortillas are excellent...and could be a meal alone. Friday buffet is ok..but the staff is worth the visit. Very Nice!. Very Appreciative!....If the owners are as good as their waitstaff I feel even better! ...
