I hate posting negative reviews, but I feel the owners should be aware. This review is not based on the bar or bar staff. The staff was kind and the atmosphere was very lively and seemed fun. However we came for Karaoke to celebrate a 40th birthday, and to scope out a potential new Friday night spot. However, the KJ who seemed very nice and outgoing at first was all over the place. No names were being called to come up and sing and it seemed very chaotic. My girlfriend and I asked him about putting our names in to sing right when we got there to see if we should stay, and asked if there was still room on the list and he said that we would be able to sing very quickly (1-2 people ahead of us) . However after about an hour waiting we watched as he went up to certain tables of people he k ew and asked them if they wanted to sing a song. It was obvious that they were “regulars” and that he was picking and choosing who he wanted to sing. I approached him again and he said”oh yeah you guys are in 2 songs” so we still waited and watched as he continued to go up to other tables to ask if they wanted to sing. One girl singing 2x since we put our names in. The other issue is he was obviously drinking (a lot…) and to me as a KJ that is unprofessional to get that tipsy while working. (we are in the Karaoke scene a lot) he was swaying and slurring, and sadly it was extremely disappointing and we probably won’t be going back. Especially after mentioning to him it was our first time there and that we were celebrating a Birthday. It seems like he cares more for the regulars or people he knows than potential new customers. Other than that the bar looked like a fun spot for anything other than trying to get your singing on. The situation unfortunately made the night very frustrating and put a damper on the fun we...
Read moreI really wish i could give this bar 5 stars, but i went there last night for the 1st time, with my gfs. They had karoke going on it was a great really fun. But our bartendar, she was the only female worker, I didnt get her name, came to our table an ordered our drinks. My gf an I get adio's, NOT top shelf, bartendar gave us 6.00 change back to the both of us after we hand her 2- 20.00's, we paid seperate. We were shocked on how pricey they were we ended up ordering beer after they were only 6.00 for bottled blue moon an apple orchard. That was a good price for the beers i thought. But im not really a beer drinker so, after having 2 beers, i ordered one more adios to finish off the night. This time i paid with my card. She charged me 9.00 for a adios, i have my receipt. Went up to my gf an told her about it. She suggested we ask her about it becAuse that is a major price difference. So, my gf asks her, when is your happy hour, an she told us 3 to 7. We got there at 8:00 ordered our adios. When i ordered my 2nd adios, it was 1130 at night. So bartendar was extremtly rude because she knew she messed up, an handed us 2-5.00s back. We told her, just keep it an will order 2 more beers before we go. She gave us a dirty look an said, no just take it. If this bartendar is doing this to new paying customers, how many more people is she ripping off? And why do this to new customers charging them way to much so they dont come back?? It's not right what she did to us, we really had a great time, but it's a shame that a employee does this to...
Read moreThe good: the place seems well kept, ice was cold, and the karaoke man was nice.
The bad: really just the bouncer. Holy cow is this dude atrocious at his job. As someone who worked as a security professional (when i was a young man/before i got a real job), I know that a bouncers job is to de-escalate a situation. This bouncer could have been having a bad day, but he was far too emotional and sensitive for his position.
Instead of trying to keep things calm, it seems that this man will do anything possible to make situations worse. He is quick to start screaming at people, and has no problem punching women or grabbing them by the hair. If you're a man, don't worry, he will not punch you. He will just shoot you with a TASER, even if you're off the property and trying to desescalate the situation(his actual job). Perhaps this is out of fear?
In all of my years of security, I never punched a woman, or grabbed them by the hair, and I never even considered tasing someone. Then again, I'm not a coward.
This man is a liability to himself and others around him. There is a good chance he gets someone, or himself very hurt. He is a lawsuit...
