Crazy Wings — Restaurant in Norfolk

For full transparency I ordered from Crazy Wings via Uber Eats (so I can't rate service or atmosphere), and was immensely disappointed. The egg drop soup was bland and flavorless. When I pulled the egg drop soup out of the bag I immediately noticed a distinct lack of color I'm used to seeing. That was my first warning sign. This is one of my favorite Chinese items to order. Absolutely horrendous. The pork spare ribs were OK. Neither great nor terrible. But I've had significantly better elsewhere.

And now quite possibly the biggest disappointment of the whole order was the egg foo young. This has been my absolute favorite Chinese item since I was a child. It is my go to comfort food when I'm not feeling well or hungover. I've had egg foo young that I wasn't super happy with before but usually that boils down to the gravy. Different restaurants will sometimes taste a little different. That's fine. But here? Every part of this dish was terrible. The rice was atrocious. The omelette was bland. But as I iterated previously the gravy is the star here in my opinion. And it was again absolutely flavorless and a complete disappointment.

Normally when I order food like this I consider it "safe" because I can count only two times where I've really been disappointed with these dishes. But usually there was still a saving grace. There was no saving grace here. And I don't take joy in leaving a review like this. In fact I much prefer leaving positive reviews. There's also the fact that I've ordered from Crazy Wings before and was generally pretty happy with my orders. Of course then I got the Orange Chicken or the chicken wings. This was my first time going with one of my more traditional orders. Sadly the best part of my order was the two liter of Coca-Cola. This is usually my go to.place for the lemon pepper wings, unfortunately today oct 3rd made my last day eating from crazy WIngs. I went in the establishment to place my order-face to face ordering. After about a 25minute wait I finally got my food, I looked in the bag everything looked right. I get home (10min drive) and notice my pork frid rice missing but I had some crab Rangoon (nastiest things ever if you order them) instead. So I called spoke to one person who said yes after speaking to the manager to come get the rice. I drive there (another 10min) only for the one who took my order, the manager, to mistakenly try to hand me someone elses tray of fried rice i told her thats not mine. all that for her to tell me she didn't put the rice in the original order after repeating it back to me and instead suggest that I just pay for a large rice when it was supposed to be in the paid order. I said "I just spoke with someone who said I could come get my rice" she said she thought I was picking up the tray of rice under someone else's name. So they had me drive BACK out there for their mistake, only to try to have me pay for something I should have had. I couldn't have stayed home. She couldn't have at least given me a pork fried rice for the inconvenience. Then gone say the Rangoon were free cuz of the long wait.. those nasty things. I see why you were giving g them away. Never again. They lost a good customer all due to their poor customer service in rectifying...

The wings are great but the lady that works at the counter is very rude. She says smart comment out of her mouth thinking that you won't here it. I guess because she thinks there glass in between? I had my card turned off. So when I scanned my phone to pay, it had declined. I immediately tell her to hold on. She tend turns and say under her breath. "I don't know what for." Tunrs back toward s me and tells me "Here! We have cashapp. Cashapp right there!" I ignored her completely and told her to just run my payment again. Rolled my eyes and walked out...
