Dunkin' Donuts that does NOT have donuts !! 🤔
My Sweet tooth was hankering for a donut. So I got out of my comfy chair, struggled to get my shoes on (I have limited mobility), and I struggled to walk with my cane one block up to Dunkin' donuts. The front door to Dunkin' donuts was closed and locked at 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon. I can see the employees in the dining area sitting at the table laughing it up having a good time. He tells me to go to the drive-thru window and so I did which is where he told me through the window that we have no donuts. I'm thinking to myself what a waste. I'm thinking to myself as a former businessman that a retail store location with this type of frontage has got to be shelling out at least $2,000 a month just to keep this location open with the lights on (minimum)..
I would think that I would do everything in my power to have the ability to sell whatever I could sell to offset the expenses and running out of donuts is not one of them.
One month later (i.e. yesterday) I was riding as a passenger in my friend's car and I asked him to go through the drive-thru to see if they had donuts yet and their answer was still;. No, they still do not have donuts.
Wow... This is incredible. My late father would roll over in his grave if he knew this because he told me stories of how he used to carry 50 lb sacks a flower into the first original Dunkin' donuts in Quincy, Massachusetts during the early 1950s. Quincy, Massachusetts is the neighborhood my father grew up in during the 1940s and 50s just a few miles south of Boston,...
Read moreI've been coming to this Dunkin' Donuts for the three years that I've lived here. They're normally really great, and can have super fast service! When he first started coming here, I would usually be handed my food and drinks before I could even put my card away!
Lately those things have been weird. I'll get to the drive-through, and they will tell me that they don't have iced coffee or food. Today the woman told me they don't have iced coffee. I tried to order a hot coffee, and she told me they didn't have the syrup I was looking for. I tried to order the breakfast wrap and two donuts for my kids. They told me they're not serving food right now. (This is not the first time that has happened) Okaaaay, fine. I ordered the donuts, but as I'm sitting at the last window, three different people walk out of the building with iced coffees! The man passing out food at the window seemed to be a manager, so I asked why other people had iced coffees when I was told they didn't have iced coffee. He told me "we only have iced lattes." Like..... that would have been helpful information!
I ended Across the street so I can get some coffee and breakfast. I mostly upset because I prefer Dunkin Donuts, and I like this location. But if I go out of my way to make time to stop before work, it is not acceptable to then be told that a coffee and donut place does not serve coffee or food! And it is absolutely not OK to then watch other patrons walk away with the items I was denied....
Read moreI've been putting off this review for a little over a week now, but I need to mention this. The customer service skills are horrible. Worst I've seen so far. There was no line and I felt rushed to order by the employee at the drive thru. Then I get to the window, and the dude is just holding his hand out for my card, no greeting or smile or anything. I actually care about making a difference in people's days, so I'm always smiling and asking how they're doing. No reply at all. Just ignores me and shoves my order and card back in my hands. I still had manners and said "thank you. have a nice day" and still NOTHING. I understand maybe having a bad day or something, but this is absolutely not how someone who works directly with guests/ customers should act. If you cannot communicate and positively represent the brand you work for, do not be at the registers...go on backline or something. I'm not one to complain, I let a lot slide cause I know how these jobs can be stressful and draining from experience. But this is not ok. Completely unacceptable and no excuses. hope this helps anyone visiting...or the team...
