McDonald's — Restaurant in Norfolk

To those who even care to look at reviews, I would advise to take caution when ordering here due to a terrible experience I witnessed today. My family and I were ordering at a drive thru and a lady employee was incredibly rude the entire time. She was shushing us and catching an attitude, therefore another employee up there had to take our order to proceed to the first window. When we met her, she was STILL being rude as our card wasn’t working up at the window. The thing is we had to insert it ourselves and we tried everyone’s card besides my Mom’s. The lady took the card and I noticed even she couldn’t get through until a moment later. My Mother was fed up with her unnecessary attitude and called her out. That lady should be lucky my Mom didn’t act out and curse at her, just sternly expressed how she didn’t appreciate that woman’s attitude. She didn’t own up to it or anything and another lady employee sorted out our altercation and apologized on her behalf. Not that we didn’t mind, but that lady should’ve owned up to her actions because how poorly she served us at the drive thru. Even so, my mother said have a nice day after taking that unnecessary bs she had to endure the whole time being there. I don’t care if this is being overdramatic, but if you are generally a moody or rude person, rethink getting a job instead of treating customers like my family and I poorly and thinking it’s reasonably okay to begin with, otherwise don’t work any job at all. Hopefully if any of these McDonald’s employees or a manager care enough to look at these reviews, I respectfully suggest you re-train that employee on dealing with customer service so that the next customers after us never have to experience what we...

Worst experience ever. When I went inside I was the only person there. I ordered my food and sat down at the table. While waiting for my food the cashier and drive thru attendant started to argue very loudly. Then I observed 2 groups of people that apparently new the cashier, come in and ordered there food. However no money or debit card was given to the cashier. While still waiting on my food. I went to the restroom to find the door locked. After about 5min one of the cooks exited the restroom so I went in. Only to find a small baggie with residual weed in it And the toilet was filled with cigar wrappings & tobacco from the cigar. My food finally came however I was missing two drinks. I went back to the counter to ask for my drinks the cashier was on the cell phone, and literally threw my drinks on the counter. While I stood looking at her she asked me what were you waiting for? I replied that I needed some straws. I left the store got in my vehicle and left. As I was leaving I went to grab some fries out of the bag and there was a rather large piece of string in my French fry container that resembled the string from a tampon . The fries were hard and cold. The bottom bun of my burger was very greasy. Worst...

I would give no stars, if that were possible. After getting home and realizing the drive thru had forgotten an item, I called ahead to say I would be coming back to the lobby to get the missing item. I walked into the lobby to retrieve the sandwich. I was completely ignored. I attempted to get anyone’s attention and made eye contact, but was unable to get a response from the back. After this ridiculousness for about 2-3 minutes, a very rude voice from behind me, in the lobby, said “what do you need, ma’am?” I explained the situation and received an eye roll that could rival my tween daughter when I tell her to clean her room. This person appeared to be the adult in charge. As the MANAGER walked behind the counter, (not) under her breath said “they’re busy back there.” They were not too busy to hand me a sandwich that I ordered, paid for, didn’t receive, called ahead to indicate I’d be back to get it, and yet there I was dealing with this unqualified manager who was SITTING IN THE LOBBY doing paperwork. So, yeah, I will not ever return to McDonald’s again and I’m sure no one cares....
