It's a big park with lots of space for different sports and has different playgrounds. Our kids ages 2-8 enjoyed the exercise area the most. It really challenged them since they've never done anything like that before. That play area is padded with turf. There was also a fun race track with a huge time clock above the finish line. We had fun watching the many squirls and the big beautiful trees too.
My reason for taking off 1 star is I saw some clothes and trash on benches by one of the playgrounds. Then we saw some homeless men laying by the bleachers. We went during the day around 12-3pm. Read moreWe decided to bring our family reunion back to the area we were raised and I must say the folks of this area has definitely changed. We had kids trying to steal our chips, random people just coming up to our family reunion begging for food, a guy parked his van where we was having our reunion and brought out his little pot and propane tank and just started frying his fish and blasting his music from his van so we couldn't enjoy our music or had to scream to talk to each other. The houses close to it are historic looking, it has some historic monuments, a fitness section, and some tennis courts and large fields. The park itself could use a little more maintenance. The grass isn't long and full of ticks or anything but there is enough litter and the tennis court weeds are long enough to make the park seem a little rough around the edges.
