Me and my roommate went to this fine established authentic Mexican food place when after a long ride all over town searching for good Mexican food proved to be unsuccessful, we had gone by a few other so called "Mexican food places but mostly they didn't seem to understand what we meant when we asked for the credibility of the food, the conversations at the other places went something like this but was actually much briefer:
Me: Yeah, you have tacos here? Are they Mexican tacos or just regular tacos? I mean, do you have chili in them and things like that?
Waitress: We have cheese and lettuce, and we have sauce, you know, put on them.
Me: I mean do you guarantee that they are authentic Mexican tacos?
Waitress:… I don’t know. Hey mark, do we have authentic Mexican tacos?
man’s voice from kitchen: What?
Waitress: Authentic Mexican tacos.
Mark: We have tacos. I don’t know how Mexican they are.
Me: Yeah, well, I just want to make sure I get what I’m paying for. ‘Cause they’re five for a dollar.
After searching for a long time we came across this place and they delivered as promised on the authenticity of the Mexican tacos. 10/10

Read moreWOW!! Writing this as I’m finishing up my meal because it’s that good. As a Mexican & Los Angeles native, it’s been a struggle to find any Mexican place that I enjoy but I decided to give Mi Pueblo a try. I ordered a sope with carne asada & am absolutely blown away at how good it is. I can definitively say this is the BEST sope I’ve had on the east coast. It was made to order and was piping hot (pretty much burned my mouth while eating it but I did not care one bit). I added their salsa roja to kick the whole thing up a notch. The only thing I’d change for next time is asking for no sour cream, but that’s a personal preference. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!
I also need to shout out the owner! I was greeted with so much warmth and kindness. You...
Read moreI love authentic Mexican and to me this was just subpar! The first thing I ordered you could tell it was stale. I ate 4-5 bites to ensure I wasn’t hallucinating, but it was like eating cardboard with some fixings on top of it. I brought it to the attention of the waitress and she was apologetic and tried to rectify everything. The second thing I ordered to replace that was okay. It wasn’t spectacular. The rice and beans had no flavor as well. They were very bland. I paid 16 (with a 20% tip) for an entree I was not really...
