Their pastries are soo good & cheap but I wouldn’t recommend buying a cake (for an event) from them. They’re limited in what they can do (it’s 2023, hire younger bakers who has knowledge of what’s in demand) anyways, I ordered a 3 layer cake, I wanted something simple, vanilla cake with strawberry filling, I was told they couldn’t do a strawberry filing for a 3 layer cake (weird) I also asked for whipped icing instead of butter cream, they couldn’t do whipped icing due to the color I wanted (which was Beige) so I settled for a buttercream icing, instead of beige I asked for taupe (I even sent Laura a picture of the color while in the store) Laura made it seem like the color I showed her was easy to do. When I picked up the cake, they showed me and I wasn’t impressed, the cake was LIGHT PINK & lopsided. I knew instantly that I would have to take the cake home, strip the icing and redo it. The cake was iced poorly, it wasn’t cooled after icing it. The buttercream had air bubbles in it. While mixing the buttercream in MY stand mixer, some of it got on my hands, I tasted it and it was the nastiest butter cream I’ve ever tasted (I make cakes & my buttercream is better) It tasted like how the store smells (if that makes sense) it wasn’t a pleasant taste, vanilla where?? This cake was for a friends birthday and I’m embarrassed to give it to her. I love this bakery but this was soo upsetting. I could’ve went to Harris Teeter in Wards corner & paid 27.00 for a 4 layer cake with custom icing & designs. (That’s where I usually go but they were booked) I’ll still go back to Naas for donuts & cookies, but as far as cake,...

The reason why I am giving this company 1 star as we where looking at the deserts in the glass my nephew spotted a fly 🪰 flying all over the deserts in the glass that's nasty we brought the desert in wrapper when she brought the fresh deserts she placed them in the glass with the fly 🪰 the fly was all over it and the cake was too sweet not saying it wasn't good but too sweet I wouldn't recommend this place cause of fly in the glass flying over the food that fly had to been there all day in that glass sitting all over the food if you want to eat there that's your choice not telling you not to eat there I am not going to eat there again that's my choice and it didn't look clean in the store I saw the floors was not clean so I will not let my family eat here or buy anything from this store I seen all the good reviews but have y'all seen flies flying in the glass with the deserts they had the side door open so the fly could have came in through there and could have been in the kitchen part while they are baking these deserts once again the ladies work hard to put these deserts out but for me after eating the cake it's too sweet for my taste I apologize if this hurts anyone feelings to be honest I think they should move into a new building and have better equipment to store there deserts so flyies want enter inside the glass with the food cause at the end of the day that's not...

Over 500 miles from home, I contact this establishment bc I've heard so much about it. Personally, I have only had glazed donuts from Naas, and that's bc some former employer did some employees appreciation day or something. My friend lost her mother a year ago. I called her to ask what her bday plans included bc I'm so far from home. She said she only wanted a German chocolate cake. I told her that I didn't know that she liked that kind of cake. "It was my Mom's favorite". Right away I knew I wanted to order one and have it delivered on 8/6 in time for her bday the following day. I did everything and my son picked up the cake and delivered it. She was moved to tears, I'm told. Longer story short, I asked my friend about a hour ago how was the cake and her voice, tone, mood completely shifted. She was not satisfied at all!!! That's is so disappointing to hear!!! I feel as if it was a waste of money & insulting to the memory of my friend's Mom. I want a...

I came to this bakery to purchase a sheet cake for my grandmother's repass. This was my grandmother's favorite bakery so I thought that it would be fitting to order her a cake from here. Well...when the $79 cake was picked up I was sooo upset. The flowers were "there", but the lettering looked a mess along with the huge surface area that was left empty. It looked like someone was shaking or something while they were decorating the cake. I had to get my daughter who is a culinary student attempted to fix the cake (lettering..flowering..and the borders) to prevent my entire family from clowning me for presenting a cake like that in memory of my granny. I know my Carol G was rolling in her grave when she saw this cake. Long story short. I should have never second guessed myself about going to Sam's club or BJ's the get a cake made. My mom told me to go to Harris Teeter. All I can say is...lesson learned.

Y’all, if you are ever in the mood for a real doughnut... This is your place. I read so many things about this bakery on Facebook and how they sell out very quickly. So I set my alarm for 5am to get there a little before they open at 6am (I live fairly close by). The donuts are HUGE. Like portioned for a giants. I purchased a butter twist, chocolate eclair, chocolate glazed, regular glazed donut, and 1/4lb of cookies for less than $8.00! I used to love Sugar Shack when they had a location here. It’s been so hard to find a place that makes these kind of doughnuts. I’m so glad I found this place! Even better- it’s a locally owned mom and pop establishment. The wife is the baker and you will not be disappointed. They are incredibly kind and sweet. And as you can see, exceptionally priced!

Naas Bakery brings back the nostalgia of classic, doughy doughnuts—big, baseball-sized treats reminiscent of what I remember from childhood, before the craze of Dunkin’ and Krispy Kreme. Each doughnut is freshly made, but the flavor falls a bit short. I tried one with chocolate frosting, and while the frosting was smooth, it had that slightly dense texture you get when it’s not quite as fresh as it could be, even though these were just made. If you’re craving an old-fashioned, substantial doughnut, Naas is worth a try, but don’t expect anything extraordinary in taste.
