Their pastries are soo good & cheap but I wouldnāt recommend buying a cake (for an event) from them. Theyāre limited in what they can do (itās 2023, hire younger bakers who has knowledge of whatās in demand) anyways, I ordered a 3 layer cake, I wanted something simple, vanilla cake with strawberry filling, I was told they couldnāt do a strawberry filing for a 3 layer cake (weird) I also asked for whipped icing instead of butter cream, they couldnāt do whipped icing due to the color I wanted (which was Beige) so I settled for a buttercream icing, instead of beige I asked for taupe (I even sent Laura a picture of the color while in the store) Laura made it seem like the color I showed her was easy to do. When I picked up the cake, they showed me and I wasnāt impressed, the cake was LIGHT PINK & lopsided. I knew instantly that I would have to take the cake home, strip the icing and redo it. The cake was iced poorly, it wasnāt cooled after icing it. The buttercream had air bubbles in it. While mixing the buttercream in MY stand mixer, some of it got on my hands, I tasted it and it was the nastiest butter cream Iāve ever tasted (I make cakes & my buttercream is better) It tasted like how the store smells (if that makes sense) it wasnāt a pleasant taste, vanilla where?? This cake was for a friends birthday and Iām embarrassed to give it to her. I love this bakery but this was soo upsetting. I couldāve went to Harris Teeter in Wards corner & paid 27.00 for a 4 layer cake with custom icing & designs. (Thatās where I usually go but they were booked) Iāll still go back to Naas for donuts & cookies, but as far as cake,...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreOver 500 miles from home, I contact this establishment bc I've heard so much about it. Personally, I have only had glazed donuts from Naas, and that's bc some former employer did some employees appreciation day or something. My friend lost her mother a year ago. I called her to ask what her bday plans included bc I'm so far from home. She said she only wanted a German chocolate cake. I told her that I didn't know that she liked that kind of cake. "It was my Mom's favorite". Right away I knew I wanted to order one and have it delivered on 8/6 in time for her bday the following day. I did everything and my son picked up the cake and delivered it. She was moved to tears, I'm told. Longer story short, I asked my friend about a hour ago how was the cake and her voice, tone, mood completely shifted. She was not satisfied at all!!! That's is so disappointing to hear!!! I feel as if it was a waste of money & insulting to the memory of my friend's Mom. I want a...
