New york pizzeria — Restaurant in Norfolk

I was extremely happy that this placed finally opened! I thought perfect right down the street from my house! The phone number listed (well from what I found after googling) just rang and rang and rang and eventually I was being ignored. I thought odd. So I searched a bit more and found the correct number! I was over joyed I was able to pace the order for pick up. The lady who answered was very sweet and great customer service! I placed my order and was told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I thought great, so 20 minutes after placing the order I left my house. I arrive and I loved the inside(the hanging lights were so beautiful) went up the counter and let them know I was picking up. I payed and after added the tiramisu. I noticed they had more drink choices than what was listed on the website and asked if I could switch for my favorite soda and they said sure no problem. HUGE win as I’m not a coke fan. I waited about another 10-15 minutes or so and then my order was ready. Drove home to dig in to all the delicious food ordered! Mind you it takes maybe 2 minutes tops to get from the pizzeria to my house. Ohhh it smelled delicious and I could not wait to try this food! Get home and open everything up to begin digging in. I ordered for my self the two pieces of pizza with a soda special, my husband got the lamb gyro combo and I also added in the garlic knots & tiramisu. I got extra cheese on my pizza and man was that pizza delicious! The garlic knots however were rock hard and where was the butteriness as described? Yes there was a lot of garlic but it seemed like little to no butter. The fries were soggy (again I live maybe 2 minutes tops away) husband didn’t have any complaints about the gyro and the tiramisu was absolutely to die for! I was really disappointed with the garlic knots as those are one of my all time favorite things. Over all it was delicious but the waiting and garlic knots let down is the reason I gave 3 stars. The staff was extremely sweet and friendly. I will return to try other things and will recommend even though I wasn’t fully satisfied with everything I received. Also I didn’t take pictures of the husbands food or the tiramisu but they both looked delicious and I will most definitely be ordering the tiramisu...

2nd time ordering and WILL NOT order again. Gave them a second chance after the first time I wasn’t very satisfied and guess what should've went to a completely different pizzeria near me. I ask everytime for extra sauce on the side because who wants plain noodles with their spaghetti I like a lot of sauce and I don’t mind paying for extra sauce. The first time I ordered I asked for extra sauce on the side wasnt there. this time I just asked for extra sauce in general. Apparently the cook answered the phone and wanted to argue he put extra sauce on top and on the bottom. I’m not sure where sauce would have went from that store to my house which is not even a mile away. It was very rude of him arguing with me over this and here’s my pictures to prove there is CLEARLY no extra sauce just some bland a$$ noodles. Clearly fits his bland a$$ attitude. WILL NEVER order from here again due to the lack of customer service and accountability and will gladly go to other pizzerias where a dinner is even complete with a salad and taste so much...

So I wanted to order delivery, which was offered on their website. Placed my delivery order which they sent to an app site called Slice. Slice promptly charged me a delivery fee, tax, some other fee and wanted a driver tip. Brought my order to over 90 dollars, no problem, I tip well. The money is immediately taken out of my account. Thirty minutes later I get a notice from slice app that my order was canceled and it will be two business days before I get my money back. Now, my issue with New York Pizzaria is, they canceled my order because they were closed, TO SLICE, NOT CLOSED, CLOSED TO SLICE. So New York Pizza, don't take delivery orders ON YOUR OWN WEB SITE and redirect them to slice if you are closed to them. What a ridiculous bunch of crap. You lost a 75-80 dollar order and since I just moved here, probably what would have been a life long customer.If you don't freaking deliver, just say so, I would have come and picked up my order, but after you just helped an app steal 90 bucks from me, won't be giving you anymore of...
