Tried to take my five month black lab here yesterday to meet new friends. Was greeted immediately by a snarling and growling highly aggressive pit bull mix. His owner yelled from other end of park, 'she is ok, once you get inside'. So I gave it a try, the pit bull jumped my puppy right away and continued ride him for several minutes. The owner did nothing at first. I grabbed the pit to pull off my dog. The owner finally arrived and told her dog, that my dog did not want to play. My dog was fine to play but not to be mauled. It was at this point two more dogs got into the fray, all were friends obviously because their moms were all there hanging out together. So now my puppy was being held down by three dogs. At which point I had enough, I asked all to grab their pack of dogs, so I could exit. I was able to exit with my dog without further issue. The park seems nice enough, but I question the highly aggressive dogs. And the women who owned them, and seem to 'hang out together'. Perhaps I was on the wrong side of town, because I was not looking for a...
Read moreOur dog is very well behaved, calm and polite with other dogs. He does especially well off leash. Two of three visits to this dog park have ended in injury for our dog. During the first visit, another dog wanted the ball our dog had and my husband had to break them up when the other dog became aggressive. The owner did not help secure her dog and then asked if we were going to leave or if she should. We left to clean up the bloody scratches on our dog's head. The second visit was great! Our dog played well with the others there and loved the pool. During the third visit, there was an owner present with a dog on a leash who informed us that he was training his dog around others. In hindsight, we should have left, but it seemed under control. Eventually, our dog got too close to her and was attacked. He has skinned pads, a puncture wound on his face and a scratch under his eye. I know too many dogs who have been hurt by others at this park. It doesn't seem...
Read moreAggressive dogs! Owners don't pick up after their animals either. My dog was beat up all three times we went here and I'll never return. We couldn't get through the gate before a large pit attacked my Australian Shepherd (first time). Second time there was a large German Shepherd that immediately ran across the field and pinned mine to the ground. Thw owner did nothing. My dog got out from under the GSD and ran away only to be chased endlessly and scared to death. The third and final time it was another pit bull that jumped my dog and then more dogs just started going wild. Their owners sat around doing nothing meanwhile my husband and I were trying to help our boy. It's a trashy ghetto. My dog is terrified of other dogs now. It isn't safe...
