Starbucks — Restaurant in Norfolk

Very rude employee and shift manager working drive through. Lied to me saying they cant do a grande in a venti cup. I have gastric sleeve surgery and can only drink small amounts at a time but I like a lot of ice in my drinks to melt down and make my coffee easier on my sleeved stomach. I have a medical diners card prescribed by my doctor for these scenarios that was not honored. I also asked for a venti iced water for my busy day- I have water goals I also have to meet and alternate water with coffee for my bariatric surgery stomach, and was told they don’t do Ice waters? I asked why can I order grande in a venti cup on doordash? Shift lead said rudely “then I guess you just need to order door dash then?!” This happened 4/4/23 around 11:15 am. I took my buisness next door to your competitor who didn’t treat me like trash and make fun of me. . I have spent a lot of money at Starbucks and have never been told this. And the extra attitude and immature laughing from both employees bc they want to feel in control of something or someone for a dopamine high, was completely unnecessary and they SHOULD be reprimanded! As a former Starbucks barista , we would have been fired immediately , taken off of drive through and put on dishes and/or written up and suspended if we behaved this way to a paying...

I was approached by the heavy set woman with glasses about having a conversation on the speaker phone with my wife. Mind you I wasn't yelling or screaming in the conversation. It was just at a normal tone no different than if my wife was physically with me at the Starbucks. I was just asking questions regarding the policy to the heavy set woman (mind you my tone was normal and I wasn't yelling at her). I could tell she was getting irritated to the point where she wanted to kick me out because she thought asking normal questions was considered "rude".

Yet at the same time their music speakers were just as loud as my phone speakers and has no issues with it. Luckily it was just me and another customer in the shop so it wasn't even loud to begin with. Couldn't imagine how irritated this woman would be if the shop was at full capacity with a bunch of talking people. If she was that worried about noise then she should work at a library instead of a coffee shop. Glad to say that I won't be coming back here again.

The only reason why I even bothered to come here was because a friend gave me a gift card. You're better off taking your business...

This is my favorite Starbucks location near me! Often times my husband and I visit right when they open at 4am through the drive thru and they are so kind & energetic. I’ve never had my order messed up there, even at that hour! Specifically in the morning times Tico is super fun and sweet, which is really nice when you’re up that early. The inside is beautiful and well kept. Ordering inside the staff is super friendly and multiple people will greet you. This morning I had a barista start making my drinks as another one was entering them in the system, so we got them super fast. Overall this location has great vibes and amazing staff! They really go above and beyond for their customers. We’ve visited many times and have never had a messed up drink or something wrong with our order. I also noticed this morning that they had a coffee master who works there which is really cool! I definitely recommend this Starbucks if you’re close to the naval base or...
