I am one of the pickiest restaurant goers you will ever meet. For me the problem is I used to work in restaurants as a sous chef and a line and prep cook. My standards for restaurants are pretty high much higher than most peoples. This restaurant as far as food and Service is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the last 10 years! They are far better than the famous Davos that is in Foxboro and Boston both which I have been to both which suck! They are two of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to! The horse and carriage restaurant in Norfork Massachusetts in my opinion is a secret little gem. Most of the staff has been there for 15 years or more. Some of the staff has been there for 30 years. It was a very enjoyable, pleasurable and delicious dining experiences I have had in a long time. I must say there will be people that disagree with me and that’s OK. This restaurant lived my expectations by far. They delivered exactly what they advertise themselves to be. To me that is one of the most important things when going to a restaurant. The food was very good. The staff was great. They took special measures to make sure our party was seated and comfortable, which I tremendously appreciated. Overall, I give them five stars on every front. Are there better restaurants out there, I’m sure there are but this one lives up to exactly what they advertise themselves to be. I was not disappointed in anyway with the price point, The service or the quality of the...
Read moreWent here for an early dinner and got zucchini stick and mushrooms caps for our apps which the 4 of use split and had no issues. My entrée was the Southwest burger cooked medium rare and it tasted fine. Several hours later while I was home I began to feel bad and shortly before bed I wound up throwing up. This continued to happen every hour until the following morning. I got food poising from my meal and the culprit was most likely the burger since this was the only thing that no one else in my party had. I waited several days to make sure it wasn't some other illness but the following day I was completely fine. When I called a few days later to simply alert the restaurant of this I spoke to a manager who seemed to not take my issue with any concern. I listed off what I had for appetizers and was told "we served over 500 people and you're the only one who had issues, you sure you didn't have an allergy you didn't tell us about." I was not even looking for compensation about this was just simply calling to let them know about the issue and was dumbfounded by the response I got form a manager of the restaurant. Maybe my food poising was a one off form here but I expected my concern to be taken more seriously since this could've been a huge issue. We will never be stepping foot in this...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here, especially under the new management and ownership. There’s definitely some noticeable improvement, though the front-of-house operations could use a bit more coordination. The order pickup process felt a little disorganized, and the girl at the counter—while trying her best—seemed a bit overwhelmed and carried a touch of sass that didn’t help matters.
That said, the food was a standout. The fried chicken bowl was exceptionally fresh and flavorful—far better than expected. Burgers were solid, cooked well, and satisfying. The fries, on the other hand, were a bit too thick and had an off taste I couldn’t quite get past. Lastly, the chicken parm came in a massive portion and was actually quite decent.
Overall, worth a visit—and with just a few front-end improvements, this place could...
