Bloomin’ Cafe had gone through some growing pains when initially started, but definitely found their footing in a nice spot with ample parking in north Normal, Illinois. There have been changes made within the past year, some more subtle than others, but they make all the difference. The friendly, open atmosphere for breakfast is inviting and welcoming. The owners and their servers are all friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable, and that just makes you feel at ease to enjoy your meal. Speaking of which, some of the subtle changes you may notice are the organic ketchup condiment you have on the table and the real butter being used with your meal and for sides. This is intentional as it’s about ensuring better quality, less additive ingredients are being used when preparing and serving your meal. Adding quality garnishes and spices to things like your eggs and hashbrowns are minor yet quite noticeable and enhance the meal in just the right way. Something that almost sounds silly when I’m saying it, yet is grossly devoid in many places is the fact that when you take a bite and taste the eggs, they taste like really fresh real eggs. Hashbrowns as well don’t taste or feel like they have a bunch of extra or processed junk with them. A little salt and pepper to taste for each enhances the already great flavor. Additionally, the pancakes are exactly the same; great taste that just seems right. The meal tastes as it should, and brings me back to memories 40 years ago how my breakfast food used to taste. A few years ago, I may have said the meal was a bit on the pricey side, but in reality these days it’s on par with other restaurants. However, that is a gross understatement as the quality is punching far above this standard of a weight class as the quality ingredients and preparation are much better. I’ve been here when it’s early morning and not so busy as well as a mid Sunday morning with a packed house, and the meals stay consistent. The cooks do an excellent job and can you can tell they actually care about how they are preparing and serving the food. The cook and the owners do come around and ensure that things are just right as they care about their business and most importantly their customers, the life blood of why they do what they do. This may sound like a lot to just talk about some eggs on a plate, but if you really do care about what you eat and enjoy a simple yet quality meal, please consider patronizing this business and supporting what a family run restaurant in your local hometown should be. You’ll be glad you did.

Based on a post this morning in blono curbside restaurants we went to Bloomin Cafe. Destiny was our server and was awesome. She kept our drinks full and was very attentive while also cleaning up for the day before closing. I had the Lumberjack and my wife had Eggs Benedict and we ordered an order of fries. There was not a crumb left and everything was very tasty. Highly recommend support for this newly opened family owned business. They are open 7 to 2 M to F and 7 to 3 on Sat Sun. We will be frequenting this fine establishment and highly recommend you try it. Every dish that came out of the kitchen made me hungry and some I would never eat or order. Off to a great start for only being open just over a week. Thanks again everyone we talked to was very pleasant. I cannot wait to try some more of this fine food!!

Nice, fresh, speedy, and Delicious! Sounds like a trademarked tag line, feel free to use it! Arrived at 9:30am on a Wednesday morning and was seated immediately. There were about 6 groups dining upon entering. Meal on the table less than 10 minutes! I ordered The Decker- a biscuits and gravy plate. Very delicious! The hash browns were a little hard, not too bad but noticeable during my dining experience. All in all I enjoyed my meal. Included a some photos of the meal and menu at the time of this review. Oh, and free Wi-Fi! I worked on one of my reports for work whilst dining on breakfast.

Hands down, the best place to get breakfast in Bloomington-Normal!

My husband and I have been coming to Bloomin’ pretty consistently since they opened. Just about once a week, even twice on some lucky occasions! The consistency at this restaurant is absolutely unmatched. That consistency is in everything they do here.

You are sat promptly (even on the busiest days—IF there is a wait, it’s typically not long for a 2-4 top) and greeted kindly. The servers are always so kind, caring, attentive, and talented. They always make us feel welcome. You get a delicious cup of coffee, put your order in, and enjoy sitting in a comfortable and clean restaurant. The food is always out so quick and with exact precision (shout out to the prep cooks on those fierce cuts!). Not to mention it’s always consistently delicious. Some of our favorites are: the Hobo Skillet, the Lumberjack Special, the Garden Skillet, the Eggs Benedict (that hollandaise 🧑‍🍳 💋), and the Cinnamon Roll pancakes. Plus, they offer monthly specials that give you something new and even feature seasonal flavors! Always affordable and always a treat! The highlight of our busy weeks, every week!

There’s so much to say about this wonderful family owned business, but I’ve already written a novel! I feel lucky to have a breakfast/lunch joint like...

Stopped in for breakfast this morning after church. We have not been back for some time, and thought we would try them again. It is the same people running it because I recognized the owner. Restaurant was clean and service was outstanding. Our food arrived hot and wait was minimal. Coffee was very good and cup was never empty. My husband had the Lumberjack Combo. It was hot and tasty. Sausages were a good size, eggs fried just right, bacon really good and ham a little thin, but good. He said the two small round Specialty Vlore cinnamon-infused french toast were just the right size and also very good. I ordered the Garden Skillet without onions and tomatoes and added ham. Everything nice and hot, including the potatoes. Pancakes a major improvement. They are smaller than before and actually cooked perfectly! Surprized when bill arrived with a $3.75 charge for the diced thin ham on my garden skillet, even though I omitted 2 other ingredients from skillet. Would have been nice to know before I ordered. Coffee charge was $3.50. Bill was over $35 for two. Nice place if you don't mind the prices, but it seems everything has...
