We made a reservation and our table was ready for us when we arrived. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. We didn’t want anything other than water but it is funny no one asked us if we wanted a beverage. The waitress took our appetizer and main dish orders without writing them down. Impressive! Two of us got fresh spring rolls. They were ok but “mostly lettuce” is what I heard. Nothing remarkable at all, especially for the price ($9!) Coconut shrimp was another appetizer. Was eaten but not raved about. My crab rangoons however were delicious! Loved every bite. The entrees. Three of us got the same thing: “Shrimps and scallops in the garden” which was basically a seafood stir fry with lots of veggies including snow peas and onions and I think broccoli. It was absolutely gorgeous, a large portion, served with rice. We all ate it but there just wasn’t a lot of flavor. Disappointing really, it LOOKED so delicious and seemed healthy but the sauce just didn’t have flavor. The other person got Pad See Ew and ate it but said “I’ve had better”. Lack of flavor once again though it looked good and was a generous serving size. The waitress never came back to the table until the end and we were really needing more water well before that. And early on we flagged down someone to bring us chopsticks as the waitress didn’t ask if we wanted. They were busy. The experience was ok because we were together and had a nice time talking and were not rushed at all, but I live in an area that has low quality Asian food and I was so looking forward to this meal. Will have to keep looking for the truly outstanding restaurant I’m...
Read moreI love Lots of Eats! I've put off reviewing this place because I wanted to keep this little gem all to myself for as long as possible.
Although they have an extensive menu of offerings, I stick with my tried and true Fresh Spring Roll app and the gluten-free version of their Drunken Noodles. Everything here is made with fresh ingredients- not just the food but the cocktails too. I have not eaten here with children but have seen others do so. I've never witnessed a tantrum of a hungry child here as the appetizers are served right away and last just long enough and then the main dishes are being served to your table.
In all of my experiences, Lots of Eats staff have always been attentive, prompt, and friendly.
The tables here are pretty close together but I've never felt like I could hear conversations of people at tables close by. In the afternoons, the dining room is well lit and you can enjoy the view out the large floor-to-ceiling windows or that of the large mural on the wall. In the evenings, the lights are dimmed and tea light candles are alight on every table creating a comfortable dining setting.
Depending on the day of the week and time of day, you may be seated right away or within a half hour of arriving. You can sit at the bar or stand nearby and enjoy a drink while waiting to be seated. If you are not feeling up to dining out, Lots of Eats offers take-out as well. I much prefer the dine-in...
Read morevery nice decor (outside and inside). spacious parking lot too. however, i wish their sign was bigger because it was hard to find and this is also kind of in the middle of nowhere location.
when you walk in, you would be greeted with a warm smiled by the host. he seated us by the wall which is away from the sun. it was quite sunny that evening. the waitress was also super nice and friendly. she came promptly for taking orders, came timely between apps and entree, and water refill.
extremely great service but only 3 stars because i thought the food was only just okay. ordered 2 apps and 1 entree. crazy roll didn't wow me. it was nice and crispy outside but the inside meat filling wasn't that good to me. the fried mussels and bean sprouts didn't have much flavor. the spicy pad thai was better than the app. it came nice, hot, and spicy. but it also kind of smells like spicy tomato sauce to me which i thought was weird (but that's just to me. my partner didn't think it smell weird). i still enoyed the food though since i was hungry...
