This evening, my girlfriend and I decided to dine at Osteria because of the really good online reviews this restaurant had. Almost as soon as we sat down, a manager began loudly scolding a server who had messed up a ticket. 20 minutes later, we could still barely hear each other over him screaming about wine charges. As my girlfriend and I have also worked in restaurants, we didn't appreciate how unprofessional and inconsiderate the manager was by deciding to embarrass an employee in the middle of the dining room. Through a recommendation from our server, we ordered the grilled tiger shrimp as an appetizer. Unfortunately, it was very dry and very under seasoned. For the main course, I ordered the filet mignon bolognese special and my girlfriend ordered the linguine alla vongole. The linguine was bland and the clams were not cleaned well if at all because there was a lot of sand with every bite. The bolognese was very good but we did find a substantial chunk of bone marrow. When we informed another server about it, she said that she wasn't sure if they mince the meat in-house or if they purchase the meat pre-minced. For $38 a plate, I would have expected that they would have done their own prep work. Although we did come in pretty late in the dinner service, we did expect a little bit more care in the food we received. Especially for the prices that this restaurant charges. Overall, we were incredibly disappointed with our...
Read moreSince i enter this place i was transported to another dimension. The attention received was exquisit. The decoration is very cared and the whole place is very harmonious, quiet and inviting. All small details are taken into account by the staff. The menu looks small at first but once you browse you find it very complete and tempting. The proposals are bold, marrying flavours, parfums and herbs. The waiters are charming and know exactelly how to describe each dish to guide you through the menu. The food arrives and its more, much more than the expected. Mango, avocado and lobster salad, perfectly dressed. A sugestion of the waiter. A festival of flavours. Main course arrives, still with the salad in my mind (It was really delicious). Moving on, Black Angus Filet-mignon, perfectly cooked rare as I ordered. Melts in my mouth... oh my god! On top of that, chocolate cake, delicious with fresh whipped cream. The price may be a little high, I already knew that, but what you get in return is so so rewarding. The food is absolutelly amazing, the service is the best and the experience is a five star. I recommend it 100%. Food is out of this world. Service could...
Read moreI wish I could give this place 10 stars! Everything about it was amazing. The service was by far the best we have ever had (and we have done some traveling). Rafael was our server and was very informative. He was attentive without being overbearing or pushy. It was truly the perfect combination. Nothing went missed. The manager stopped by at our table a couple times to make sure we were happy and had a great sense of humor. The food was phenomenal. We ordered their tiger prawn for an appetizer which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the filet which came with a sauce, scalloped potatoes and green beans. It was delicious. I ordered the bolognese with their handmade pasta. Hands down, the best bolognese sauce I have ever had and I’m usually not a fan of the wide flat pastas but it was amazing. We also ordered the ricotta ravioli with the creamy pesto sauce, it was delicious. The creme brûlée at the end was the perfect touch to the perfect meal. We cannot wait to come back next time we are in town. We will definitely be requesting Rafael...
