Allard's Market & Deli — Restaurant in North Berwick

Allard's Market has always been a personal favorite. Their service is unmatched. The quality of food is amazing. A true original mom and pops store atmosphere. I love getting a sub here. It's not tiny like subway or your typical gas station hall-@$$ed sandwich. I like to get what is called "The Big "A" " it's 4 generous amounts of meat. Thing is massive and to be honest, is quite difficult to take a bite out of. 🤣 It's not a cheap sub but it's quality of your hard earned money! Here's a personal experience. Years ago, I would pass by, early in the morning, on the way to work. I thought, hmm I want to pre order, but unsure if they were even open. I called, and the owner answered stating they didn't open that early. However, he said he was always there at that time prepping for the day. He said if I called, he would be glad to personally make a sub for me, even though they weren't open. That in itself says A LOT about how much they care about their customers. This unassuming gem of a convenience store in a small Maine town for the basics & with a pizza & sub menu of freshly prepared to order food found in most pizza places is AMAZING!! 😮😮😮 The food, from pizza, to pasta salads (ranch bacon one is my personal favorite!) as well as cold & hot subs that literally weigh lbs & are hugely portioned are insanely delicious! Personal faves are the meatball sub, steak cheese mushroom & onion sub & their italian cold cut subs too! The staff are friendly, helpful, accommodating & prices very reasonable too. Have never had a bad bite of food from here! Been going here for years. I love the service, folks, and food. Today I ordered a breakfast pizza with a special request. I brought them sausage gravy and they used that as a base instead of red sauce. It was AMAZING. The gravy completed that pizza!

The staff here are dedicated to their customers, and aren't afraid to venture requests outside of the menu. They're also great grab and go location. I was able to pick up my order without more than a minute delay on my commute to work (as early as 6AM). The convenience and quality started my Friday off...
