It was really really bad service and food overall. We walk in this restaurant that my husband and I visited 9 years ago. It was good and fast forward 2 weeks ago with a party of 11. The worst pizza 🍕 our company has ever had. They described it as cardboard box tasty and the cheese was like plastic. The only item we ordered was the corn Nuggets. Also, ordered artichoke dip and it was awful no one ate it. There are no vegan friendly food whatsoever there is dairy even on their dressing. I Asked for vinegar and oil they didn’t have any available. The server we had took off and got waited on after 30 minutes into our meal the waiter that took over had to ask over and over who get what. We ordered a calzone with just veggies as we can’t have dairy or animal products it tasted awful. Really sad how downhill this place has gone.

I normally enjoy eating at Blue Ridge pizza, but I placed a take out order and was extremely disappointed. I ordered a margarita pizza, breadsticks and a slice of a key lime pie, when I returned home and took it out of the boxes I was shocked. The bread sticks were so hard that I could hardly take a bite and the pizza crust was hard just like the bread sticks and the topping on the pizza were cold and slightly burnt.

All four of us greatly enjoyed our meals! The crust of the pizza is perfect—not too thin, not too thick, crisp outside, still fluffy on inside. The fries are delicious, and I HIGHLY recommend asking for a cup of Alfredo sauce to dip them in. Dad ordered “the Jimmy” sandwich and it was thick with meat—he really liked it. Mom got the chicken finger salad and she really liked the chicken that was in it.

Here's all you need to know about my husband and my enthusiasm for Blue Ridge Pizza Company -- we moved our wedding back one week so they could cater it!

My husband and I are wanderlusts from Michigan. We decided to have an intimate destination wedding outside of Harrisonburg, Virginia – 10 hours from our home – on the grounds of a historic bed and breakfast. Blue Ridge Pizza Company was one of the caterers recommended by our wedding planner.

At first, we grappled with the idea of hiring a wood-fired pizza truck. Would it seem cheap? Would it feel too quirky or casual? Would our guests, who traveled many miles to join us, feel disappointed in pizza and salad for the grand occasion?

Spoiler alert: Nope. Nothing could be farther from the truth!

We visited BRPC's commissary kitchen in November 2021 – our one trip to Virginia before the actual wedding in October 2022. We spent an hour chatting with the wonderful owners, tasting their food, and letting our doubts fade away. Our favorite items from that tasting were the bacon-wrapped dates, the Cider Fest, and The Meats.

BRPC's customer service is even better than its food. Hard to believe, we know! We worked with Justine and Melissa remotely from the initial inquiry to the big day. These ladies were a complete joy! They communicated frequently and thoroughly, answered countless questions, and worked seamlessly with our wedding planner, venue, and other vendors.

We chose three appetizers, a charcuterie board, a wonderful salad ("The Charleston"), and four varieties of wood-fired pizza for our reception. We also utilized BRPC's bartending services. They worked with us on signature cocktails – making recommendations and suggestions we hadn't considered.

Before the reception, we were delighted by the smells of food prep. The scent of premium, cooked meats wafted to us on the gentle breeze and gave us a preview of coming attractions. Unexpected bonus! Our guests loved BRPC's offerings, and we all ate until we couldn't eat anymore. Several guests commented that it was the pizza they'd ever had.

The bartenders were wonderfully courteous, prompt, and energetic. One of my favorite memories from the reception was watching the bartenders bust a move behind the bar. Moments like that create big smiles and full hearts. I'm thankful BRPC was there to...

This place is riddled with incompetent teenagers with victimized attitudes who do not have it in their skill set or care enough to correctly fulfill orders or provide good customer service. We have ordered take out from this place over the years and more times than not, the order is wrong. Tonight was the last time we will patronize this business because when my son arrived home with our food the pizza we ordered was a medium instead of a large, as ordered, and the toppings were wrong. I took the pizza back down to the restaurant and the incompetent teenage girl behind the counter wanted to argue with me about my order stating I ordered a medium and not a large and the toppings I ordered were correct. That did not go over well. It was evident this victimized teenager wanted to prove herself right instead of offering good customer service in getting my order correct. I told her to give me credit back for the pizza on my card and she then turns around and tells me she credited my whole order and demanded more money. Oh... my... dear... Lord... how... dumb! The credit still has not shown up on my debit card as of this review so I don't even know if she correctly screwed things up more. This place was good when the father and son managed and operated it when they first opened. But today, I honestly don't know how this place stays in business since the owners have turned their business over to an incompetent staff, inept management, and teenage employees who are obviously not properly trained and would not know good customer service if it bit them in the rear end. We will not return. Blue Ridge Pizza Company is just not worth the hassle. They ruin more meals than...

If I could give this place a negative star I would. For reference this is the first negative review I’ve ever taken the time to write . We place Togo order from here occasionally , NEVER again . We placed an order, got home, the order was incorrect. They gave us two chicken salads instead of two chicken tender plates ( No biggie, mistakes happen.) Take the incorrect salads back . They try to charge me $16.08 ( but said they discounted it for me) keep in mind I already paid $43 .

The only things I actually ordered that I received were a pretzel and a large Greek salad. Again, I paid $43 and ALSO TIPPED for the Togo order.

I nicely explained, that I was not going to pay again after returning the food I did not order, that I simply wanted what I ordered in the first place .

They messed up the order , they should fix it.

Then , she sends another young guy out to tell me again , I am going to have to pay for the chicken tender plates( but they’ll discount it). I explained to him , that I am not paying AGAIN. And I offer to speak with a manger if needed to explain I am not paying AGAIN.

FINALLY after all of this , the manager comes out and tells me that the two young kids working didn’t explain to her that I paid for the two salads I received that I did not order. So after 30 minutes of nonsense , between going BACK to the restaurant, arguing with staff . I finally left with what I ordered in the first place.

There was an opportunity to make this right. Mistakes happen , yes it’s annoying to get home and have to go back to the restaurant again but we are all human. But the lack of ownership and miscommunication on their end was such a turn off we will...
