We used to come here and had great food and experiences, however, this year has been terrible. This was our second visit this year. The food was awful and the service as well, sadly. The visit earlier this year we had went for Valentine's Day. They messed up our steak orders. I'd ordered a smaller steak - medium. My husband ordered a larger steak - well. They gave me mine the smaller steak - well (tough and burnt) and his large - barely done - rare - not even medium. They didn't offer to fix it, but offered free desserts to us. Okay, awesome, right? You'd think so, but then added the desserts to our bill. Then we ordered the Valentine's special desserts with strawberries. They were out of them. The whole dinner was a train wreck.
I'm always a person for second chances. We came back tonight after some reluctantly. Tonight, keeping it simple. We ordered raw oysters. I had blackened shrimp and my husband ordered the steak. This time he asked for medium rare. Our oysters came, but our food never did. After nearly 30 minutes, the waitress says the kitchen had a split ticket and didn't tell her. They had not cooked our food, but she would get on them. They started our order. We got it in about 15 minutes. My husband's steak was definitely cooked in a microwave. Tough as a leather Harley jacket, and definitely well done. The owner came out and offered us free desserts, again. Okay, right? Guess again. Then, the owner proceeds to tell us that the waitress had dropped the ball. Well, now we've been lied to, which is one of the worst things you could do to me. When we were ready to leave, we asked instead to have the price of the desserts taken off. Not only had we waited for so long, steak couldn't even be eaten, his shrimp was also tough. I was so hungry, I didn't care and ate mine. When we got our check, they'd only taken off for one dessert. When asked about it we were told that we were only given one dessert.
Needless to say, this place we once enjoyed and loved coming to, we will not be going back. It's one thing to have a bad day, and mess up an order. Lying, then only half way keeping your word to try to make up such a sorry visit. Not having it.
To add - the two couples behind us were overcharged for their drink orders.
Oh, and if you order a loaded baked potato, there's an upcharge there that is never disclosed.
If you visit there after reading this review, you should verify the accuracy...
Read moreI eat here a lot but and is always good but yesterday was horrendous. We don’t know if they got a new chef but it was awful from start to finish. Please go back to what you once were. Bloody Mary they forgot the shrimp and had to boil it separately and bring it as it comes with the drink. The mix was way overdone and tasted badly. The blue cheese dressing on salad was like poured watery milk and tasted nothing like blue cheese. We ordered the crab legs ( which we did before another time and we’re very good.) THIS time we paid $57 a person for 1.5 pounds of crab legs each that came with no sides. We were shocked to see them as they resembled a daddy long leg spider the legs were so skinny, the widest one was was a half inch wide we think. Could not get any real crab out. They were bland like they were very overly boiled. Asked the waitress about it and said they offer a Sunday night special of crab legs at $20. So these were obviously the same crab legs that they must of had left over and re- boiled?? . The drawn butter was literally like watered down oil and we had to send back the corn on the cob as it had literally no taste, looked completely over boiled that it had pruned. Looked and one bite was awful. The crab legs were tedious and no flavor. Nothing like when we had them last time. We were stunned at how badly everything was as we eat there a lot and never had a bad meal like this. Not to mention’s paid a lot for this experience. It was not only terrible but embarrassing as we brought out of town guests. The waitress was nice and that was helpful. I am sad to say that this meal was terrible and obviously thrown together by a chef that did not care. Very sad and mad at the $148 before tip for terrible food. Again always had a great meal many times there, this…was shocking. Had to write this review so you can re- evaluate this chef and...
