China Star — Restaurant in North Carolina

I am visiting from out of town and we placed a large order. We were missing one item from the order and I called the restaurant to have it refunded. The very friendly and nice woman I spoke to apologized and asked if I’d like a credit for next time. Because it was an online order and I paid through a third party company, the restaurant wouldn’t be the one to refund me. I explained that I’m visiting from out of town and wouldn’t be back there. She then offered to reach out to the third party company to see if they could refund me. I thought that was so nice of her to go out of her way to do that. She called me back to let me know I would be receiving my refund and apologized again. I love when people take that extra step to make their customers happy. The food was good!! The boneless spare ribs were a big hit with my family. I would definitely go there again when I come back to...

I was just getting off work and this was my first meal for the day. So before I went home I stop by this place. I order the fried chicken. Came home did not eat until about 1pm. I had started eating the chicken and the second one was hard to pull apart, so I throw it away. I picked up the third one an that one was hard to pull apart throw that one way. About 30 mins to an hour I got so sick. My stomach started hurting ,and i became light headed. So I did a 911 call. Found out I have got food poisoning. Just be careful eating at this place. Will not every eat there again. Lost my business. I am going to tell my peers not to eat there....

I would love to speak to their district manager, but I doubt they have one. The chef gave me an uncomfortable stare when I entered the building, I hadn’t even placed my ordered yet. Racist, prejudice, or just odd? Either way, a chef should never make their customers feel that uncomfortable.

Need I add that in the meal I had that night, there was a mound of sugar in my black pepper chicken with rice. Only after I bit into a piece of sugar was I able to stop and search through my plate to find it. The egg roll was excessively sweet, if not careful they can make someone sick by not...
