Closed — Restaurant in North Carolina

Shout out to all of the staff on Friday, July 5th! My dad and I arrivved to a an overflowing parking lot and it was standing room only. Even all of the outside tables were full. We knew what to expect and didnt have any where to go so we decided to wait it out. WOW, are some people really a**holes! Are you so self absorbed that you cant take a look around you to see what is going on? These peole were slammed and were going as hard and fast as they could go. They were getting the food to you as fast as the cooks could get it ready and you still had the gall to hurl insults to the staff?? I can only pray that sometime in your lifetime, when you are stressed to the max and are doing the best you can do, that you are belittled and criticized in the exact same way you did these people!! There is no reason to reduce anyone to tears over a freaking egg!! Keep up the great work guys! Lisa, you are a rock star. I dont know you how you held it together but you did. I would love to have you working for me so you could reinforce to my guys what team work means and how to never give up! God Bless and thank you for the wonderful meal we waited patiently for. From Hickory and went to denver for another location that was closed , this shiny stainless steel caught our attention . was not disappointed , food was very good and could tell was made in house .i had the meat loaf and was good flavor with a very nice gravy . wife had Marsala and as she never had it she didn't like it but i do like Marsala and this was also very good flavor and huge portion . the ingredients they are using are very good quality , can see and taste it . worth the trip and stop in large dinner menu selection. services was also very good .

the only down side would be a note for the owner and operators .... as a previous chef and baker i will say it was the utmost pleasure to dine with you , you are on point and running a one great eatery! but your portions were a little to large , id say you could stretch the dollar a little more and still offer a proper portion size for the current prices .

I have never been to the Silver Grill but I want to write a review on the owner, who I believe is named Joe. I was at a gas station in Huntersville NC 6 years ago, where I literally had to pay for gas with change IN PENNIES to get a little bit of gas, maybe $1.50... I was struggling and had to do what I had to do. My wife was pregnant with our now 5 year old. I paid in pennies, counting them forever and holding up the line. After getting to the pump, the man that was behind me in line walked out and told me, "I've been where you are, fill your tank and come by the Silver Grill in Denver, which I own, and I will give you and your wife a free meal, just pay it forward." I feel horrible for never going there and thanking this man. I moved out of state shortly after, but I am back in NC and have never forgotten this moment. I am forever grateful to this man who I've never had a real opportunity to thank. If you ever read this, know that what you did has stuck with me...
