Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in North Carolina

Today, I called the local number, ordered a basic pizza, and was told 59-69 minutes for delivery. When we reached 75 minutes, I called, and the automated status reported that our pizza was due 6 minutes ago. So, I hit the option to speak with someone. I didn't catch the name, but they said they are on a 2 hour delivery status. When I asked about my order, and why I was told a different time, they said "you didn't speak with me, it must've been the call center. So you want to switch to pickup?" I then asked if my pizza was sitting in a warmer, I was told it wasn't even in the oven yet so it would be hot when delivered, they only have one driver. I asked to cancel my ordered and suggested maybe they needed to update the call center since I was given a very different time expectation. They said "thank you for the suggestion" and then they hung up on me while I was still speaking! Yikes. Definitely major customer service failures. I'll order...

I am impressed with this stores staff and feel embarrassed for the scenes that customers made today. Was today's service a little slower than usual...sure...BUT ITS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. If you aren't expecting a little delay you are being unsensible.

Two customers came in and verbally abused one of the employees, his name was Dustin, because the customer didn't have forsight this was going to be a slower day and they were mad they had to wait longer than normal and took it out on an employee.

It would have been hard for me, if I had been working, to continue working after being talked to in such a rude way. Instead, Dustin apologizes profusely for the wait and offers multiple solutions. He is a better man than me.

Anyways, in terms of the quality of the food. It is one of the best tasting pizzas I have had from the franchise. I would recommend this...

This is our go to fast food pizza delivery place. Sometimes the pizza is a bit greasier than other times but overall we are satisfied with this location. **If you check no contact delivery and also type in instructions to "please leave pizza at door" or "no door bell please" on top of checking no contact, be ready to still receive a door bell ring or a loud knock on your door with the delivery driver ready to hand over your pizza. Kind of defeats the purpose of the no contact delivery. This has happened 3+ times now since they started the "contactless" delivery. We have already paid the tip in advance online each time, so there should be no reason whatsoever for the driver to be standing there waiting to give us the pizza.
