Earthling Coffee — Restaurant in North Carolina

If I could give 6 stars, I wouldn't hesitate with Earthling Coffee.

It's an unassuming little wooden shack sitting oddly in the middle of a gravel parking lot. You'd miss it if you weren't looking for it, and you might even miss it if you were looking for it, but don't let the unassuming exterior fool you... This coffee joint is heavenly, stellar, out of this world, intergalactic perfection.

Let me preface my review by saying this: if you're a coffee aficionado who can find nuance and subtlety in different types of black coffee, then maybe this place isn't for you...

But, that's not the point of Earthling Coffee. They're not trying to please the hard core coffee connoisseurs, they're not trying to mimick Starbucks, they're not trying to outdo that hip new corner coffee shop... They're trying to be the first Earthling Coffee. And they do it very well.

They've got 47 syrup flavors, 10 sugar free syrup flavors, 4 drizzle topping flavors, and various milk and milk alternative options. You can mix and match the flavors any way you want to create crazy combinations like Reese's Cup, peach cobbler, thin mint cookie, etc. Or, if you're not feeling creative, you can get the predetermined drink of the month.

The shop owners are also very nice and eager to talk to you and help you decide on the perfect drink. They're both experienced and excited about the products they sell, and it shows in the excellent customer service and attention to detail in every drink/work of art they create.

My personal recommendations: iced white chocolate Reese's Cup latte with a vanilla caramel granola waffle pop (oh yes, they sell waffle pops, and they're customizable, and they're warm and fresh, and they're so good).

Another note on drink sizes. For the lattes, the smalls have 2 shots of espresso, the mediums have 4 shots, and the larges have 6 shots. The owners are eager to let you know that their medium lattes contain more espresso than most larges that you can get in other places. So if you're easily affected by caffeine, keep this fact in mind.

Super disappointed with the drink we got at the drive through in candler. First, we wanted to use our travel mug so a cup didn’t need to be wasted because their cups are only 35% recycled. That was not an option. I completely understand that. Iv had that be a thing at other stores. Fine, not a problem. What we ordered was a 20oz americano. I told the lady I understand she can’t take our mug, not a problem, we just don’t want to waste a cup. Could she just make the espresso in the regular espresso carafe and then dump it into the coffee mug. And do the same with the hot water. Then she would never have to touch our mug and a cup less wasted. She said no, that’s not an option. So we just got it in a paper cup. What we should have done is gone somewhere else. But now I’m pretty sure it wasn’t an option to do it that way because she didn’t make the espresso fresh. What coffee shop doesn’t make fresh espresso for every order!!!???!!! It was luke warm and not a single bit of crema on top. Pretty sure both those things are not possible with a fresh americano. Super disappointing for the price. Do not recommend going to the drive through and will not be going back. There are so many other fantastic coffee places around that this one is not...

Ordered a cosmonaut latte because my friend got one and it looked good I showed them both pictures to ensure it was the right one and they said it was. Showed them their Instagram post for the harvest moon and ordered that one too because it looked good and pretty too. So we received two drinks that look NOTHING like the pictures and tasted the EXACT same. Just a simple iced coffee really. I asked upon reviving the second drink which one that one was because I was so confused as to why for one , they didn’t look nothing like the picture. And two why they look exactly the same. They did tell me they were different drinks. I don’t really like confrontation so I didn’t say anything after because there were other people there too. I messaged them on Instagram but got no reply.
