Geppeto's Pizza — Restaurant in North Carolina

We have been here many time and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We went on 1/9/19 because its half price kids night and they have a entertainer that makes balloon animals for the kids. We arrived at 7:15pm according to their site the buffet goes until 8:30pm. We ordered the buffet and when I went up there you could see the pizza was old and there were pans stacked on other pans covering slices of pizza. I got some old pepperoni for one of my kids and cheese for my other. I went back and sat down and thought maybe they would bring some fresh pizza out. Well 10 min later still no pizza so went up and got some old meatball pizza because it was the only pizza up there without onion, black olives and mushrooms on it. So I figured they would bring some pizza out anytime now and well they didnt the only thing the brought out was cinnamon sticks and chocolate chip pizza. They never brought out anything nor did the server ever ask us if we wanted a type of pizza. I literally had 2 slices of pizza and that was not by choice. My wife had 2 slices of the cheese only because it was only thing up there. The servers were literally sitting at a table watching and playing along with wheel of fortune on the tv. The balloon entertainer is what makes me give this a 2 star because he is great. This was our first bad experience here out of many but it one that will last. We will be taking our business to untouchables pizza which has a great buffet that they keep up with and have chicken wings on their buffet.

Update: I was contacted by the business and offered a gift certificate for the amount I spent on the above night. Also the gave me an apology for my experience. They asked to me to update my review. I have updated from 2 star to 3 star because the response from management. It in no way reflects quality of service...

Geppeto’s has officially become my favorite place for pizza. I first tried their pizza when a coworker brought some for an event at work. By the time I was able to try the pizza it was cold, but by god was it still delicious, I decided then and there when I was released from my shift i’d get my own for dinner. I used their mobile app to place it, which does look and feel a little old but if it ain’t broke? I ordered a large pepperoni pan and a personal peach dessert pizza. The pizza of course was amazing from the dough to the cheese to the sauce to the cook on the pizza. It was also cut properly throughout, something the big chains like to slack about. The peach dessert pizza was also excellent, I don’t have much to say about it as i was to busy enjoying it to even critique it. The person working the counter when I came to pick the order up was also very polite and courteous. I will definitely be back for some...

Let me first say my expectations of pizza are probably too high. I really hate to give anyone a bad review especially when all other reviews are great. We always pass this place and wanted to try and the reviews are good so we did. Ordered a large cheeseburger pie and they were kind enough to put cut pickles on it, plus ordered manicotti. Salad came out, pizza came out, no manicotti, we had to ask about it, we were just about done with the pizza and still no manicotti, it came out cold in the middle, the pizza was small, for a large, had no flavor and the crust was horrible, just my opinion, sorry but it was bad pizza, looked like a frozen pizza, we ate it, we were hungry, but couldn't eat the cold manicotti.
