My rating is not for the food because I never had the opportunity to dine. It is however, for the lack of professionalism or training of the staff. I made a dining reservation through Google. The picture below shows the restaurant info with a RESERVE TAB. I clicked on the tab, entered my information and received an email that the restaurant will confirm the reservation shortly. About a minute later, that email came through with the reservation information as noted in the below photo. When we arrived at the restaurant, I gave the hostess my name and indicated that we had a reservation. She responded “ we don’t take reservations here”. I showed her the email confirming it and the Google tab to reserve. Again she stated the restaurant does not take reservations and stood firm on her statement. Apparently, factual information and this hostess are not in sync. She said if we wanted a table it would be at least 30 minutes. No effort was made to verify with another employee about reservation policies. Consequently, I chose not to wait because of her indignant response and ventured to another business for dinner. I hope the management reads my review...
Read moreMy husband and I went with our friends. We wanted to see what all the rave was about with the food being amazing and authentic. We went yesterday. Walked in, the atmosphere seemed good, they did a great job on redoing the inside. The waiter was very attentive, but then came the drinks, and the salsa. My husband got a margarita, and it tasted like pure lime juice and water… I got a spicy margarita, and it was absolutely horrible and although it had ice, it was warm.. which did not set right after the first few drinks. Luckily I had ordered a soda water with lime like I always do… and then came the salsa. We go to eat the salsa… and it tasted like bland tomatoes with oregano… it was not cilantro. I was really excited to try this new place as we do Friday night Mexican, and all the raving reviews… and sadly to say, we were so disappointed with the drinks and the salsa… we paid… left our full drinks basically and went where we always go.
I typically do not give bad reviews. But it’s hard to mess up salsa, and after the first 15 minutes… we just did not have a good feeling, so we left.
Hoping it changes, as they have done a great job...
Read moreCommonly known around town as" thuy the gas station Mexican restaurant" this place has taken over as my friends and families favorite Tex-Mex spot in the area.
It is not a taqueria, but rather a full service sit-down restaurant and when you're eating in there, you forget that there's a gas station store a few feet away
The waiters are very friendly, the food is excellent, and the prices are fair for the large portions you receive.
The only reason I didn't give it a full five star is because I think the salsa could be a little better. chips and salsa are one of my defining traits of a Tex-Mex places food rating. Everything else is very good though and maybe they'll change the...
