Restaurants are struggling to get expert help, the server we had was very knowledgeable of the dishes available. Like in other restaurants around, they need more training. I finished my drink and was the manager who asked me if I wanted another one. Unfortunately I was at the end of my meal, about 10 minutes passed since I finished my first glass until I get the replacement. The food: The appetizer was good and at a moderated price. My wife had a shrimp plate with rice and broccoli that was excellent with good size shrimp and probably 20 or more in her plate. I opted for the Black and Blue ribeye steak. I asked the waiter how big was the steak and she didn't know. She went and ask and came back telling me that it was a seven ounce steak. Now seven ounce steak is pretty small for a $28.00 dish. The menu says $1.00 per each additional ounce but doesn't say the weight of the black Ribeye steak. If I try to get the same size steak that I used to get in NY I would have paid over $40.00. She never asked how I like the steak, so I am guessing the default is overcooked, dry and though, very though. The steak was bigger than seven ounces, probably twelve to fourteen. They cooked on a very light (small) of wine mushrooms sauce and too much blue cheese that overwhelmed the taste of the very THOUGH steak. Did I said it was though? Why I didn't returned the steak? Probably they would have changed it, but I would have to wait to get another dish, maybe I could have a free desert.. I preferred to eat it. It was not the first time I had a thought steak. And if the beef was good, it still to expensive. They don't bring you bread to the table either. The desert was really good and well priced. A lots of...
Read moreMy husband and I both ordered the meatloaf (w/o red peppers). Generous portions. We both thought the meatloaf with marsala sauce was very good. The only part my husband thought could be better were the mashed potatoes, but that is because he is not a fan of leaving the skins in the mash. Key-lime pie square for dessert was yummy and sweet.
We were seated on the bar side, but since we dined at an odd time and on a cold and rainy night, we were the only ones in this area for the majority of our visit. They have low booths and tables on this side. I prefer high booths which I think they have in the main dining side. The atmosphere was nice and staff was attentive.
We look forward to returning and trying something else from the menu.
Edit Feb 2022 We made a 2nd trip and were seated on the right side of the restaurant. We had the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer and it was really good. My husband ordered the special, Lasagna, but the sauce was too sweet for him. It looked really good, but just not the type of sauce he likes. I had a cheeseburger that was fine, nothing special. The top bun was really cold, like it had just finished being thawed. I subbed out the fries for grits and they were very good. We will be back to try...
Read moreFirst experience at the location was not good. I am a quiet reasonable person. The manager not once requested the customer sitting behind me to address the screaming child behind me. My aunt did say to the customer mam please that is all she said and the customer called her a witch. At that point the situation excualsted to tthe point my aunt did respond back to this customer telling her she would pickup the bill but she was not worth it. The customer with the screaming child started crying after provoking my aunt by calling her a witch for just saying please. The manager did not take control of this issue. For this reason I would never return. We had a bottle of wine between us and had just ordered a second we were not over served and my cusion had just sat down and had one drink and they did not want to serve him....This manager was also very rude and did not handle this well at all the owner needs to address this with some training for her or hire another manager ...due to lack of management I will not return and will tell all I know what happened and lack of...
