Went to Los Primos for the first time on Saturday July 13, 2024 at @4:30pm I ordered 15 tacos with rice and beans Paid $67.53 We were in town visiting family and got us all lunch but the food was dry, rubbery and overcooked so we did not eat all the food and that was that. About two hours later myself, my husband, my sister and her husband, and my 7 year old started getting sick (throwing up) my 1.5 year old who only ate rice and beans was luckily ok. I called los primos to let them know we had gotten sick and after a few questions about what we had ordered were not concerned about our health and only worried about refunding our money (which I didn't ask for) The employee that I spoke to was you have to go to a Dr and if they say it was from the food we will refund you. First off the only ones that were sick were the ones that ate your tacos! Second I'm not going to go to the hospital/Dr to prove anything! They were concerned about a small refund do you think they would have paid for 5 people's Dr visit. Seriously They can keep the money. Please be carefull! Eat there at there at your own risk! I know I wont eat...

ALWAYS ASK FOR ITEMIZED RECEIPTS BECAUSE THEY WILL DO AUTO GRATUITY EVEN ON A TABLE OF 4. Be aware this place charges 20% gratuity even on parties of 4. Always ask for an itemized bill because they will be sketchy about the auto gratuity. My crew(a group of 4 guys) went there on September 6, 2023. Juan was their server and failed to provide them with an itemized receipt. He only gave them a transaction receipt. They had to ask twice for it. My crew left $10 tip on top of the $12 Juan already charged them without telling them. I called to get clarification about the amount we were charged because the numbers didn't add up to the amount of food they ordered. And she said their menus state that gratuity is included on a table of 4 plp. She agreed to refund the extra $10 my crew gave the server because of “Miscommunication.”Management really needs to check on their employees. This is why people stop going to places like this because of their shady tactics. I hope they change this...

Upcharged $2 on 5 items of the 2 item combos for beef, although it states above combos on the menu that ALL ITEMS come with choice of beef or chicken...so I ended up being charged another $10 when I arrived to pick up. When I questioned this lack of clarity on the menu, I was told it is over to the side, which is not where it should be. When I arrived home, I found out that although we ordered 6 items (three 2 item combos) 2 chicken, 2 beef and 1 cheese quesadilla with 1 burrito, they messed up the 3rd combo and we were charged for 5 beef at 2 dollars each. Ended up paying $51 for three 2 item combos. We have never paid this much the multiple times we USE to eat here. The size of the quesadillas are not worth the money you spemd in upcharges. Family recently dined at the El Mariachi in Burgaw. Hands down better food and for similar price minus the upcharges. Quesadillas were twice the size in both shell and meat/cheese. And they put their house cheese sauce on top at no...

Really impressive dinner this evening! After a very bad experience at another Hampstead Mexican Restaurant, we were so glad to find our new go to spot. Menu was diverse, offering just enough options to reflect that the items are made in house. Food was incredibly flavorful, quality ingredients (steak was tender and well seasoned) and fresh. We enjoyed 2 combo plates and the enchiladas, burrito & steak tamale were standouts. FRESH chips, salsa and queso were a great way to start. Dessert was a great way to end. Wonderful fried ice cream and cherry cake (the special) was prepared with care. But by far even surpassing all of that, was the service. I could go on and on about Jonathan and Hugo. The Father and Son team make this restaurant Beyond special and even if the food was bad I would come back and visit just for them. 10 out of 10.

I came to Los primos on a Sunday afternoon with friends from church, there were 9 of us so a fairly big party. We got our food and drinks fast but I had to ask to get a refill. Halfway through my meal I looked to the person next to me and said that I was thirsty. I shouldn’t be thirsty at a restaurant with a server. When I got my check I was even more disappointed. There was gratuity on the check which is fine but I always leave better tips without it. The group I was with are typically good tippers anyway. They also charged me 2.50 for 3 corn tortillas when I could get a whole pack at the store for the same price, this was disappointing to me because I have liked my experience here in the past. Will probably not be back anytime soon.

Great casual family-owned business that is happy to ensure you have a great meal. We love the molcajete; full of tasty protein and nopales and the choripollo. Anything with the chorizo is well-seasoned and delicious. Ask for the spicy salsa if you like heat and flavor. We always end up taking the rest of the salsa home. They make their corn tortillas in-house daily. The tortillas are always warm, supple, and are the perfect complement to many dishes. Plus they have a rewards program. Super friendly wait staff to boot!
