At the drive thru I used my mobile app to give the employee my rewards number to receive $2 off a frappe. I ordered the Dulce de leche frappe & was told to pull around to pay. I was given a total that didn't include the $2 coupon. I explained I had gave her my rewards number to redeem the $2 off a frappe offer. She stated she knows but it wouldn't allow her to take it off since it was a special limited time offer. I said no worries then I will just take a caramel frappe instead. I was informed that the computer wouldn't allow her to edit the order. So I suggested that we could just delete that order and start over ordering a caramel frappe. I was told that wasn't an option either. So I said let me get this right. You can't change my order and you can't void the order , so why are my options then. She stated the only thing I could do is pay full price for my original order of the Dulce De Leuche. I told her I wasn't going to do that when it shows plain & clear I should be receiving $2 off an if it being a limited time item I the problem then I should have the option of changing it. She said sorry and I said well I am not sure how you will proceed if you can't void that but I will I just go to the McDonald's down the street & I am positive they will have no issues with me ordering a caramel frappe. Let me make this clear, it wasn't about the $2 discount that got me, it was telling me I couldn't change my mind I'm in what I ordered. Anyways, when they never brought my food out after waiting 30 minutes I decided to drive around the drive thru-when I got up there they said “oh!” Here ya go. Before I left I proceeded to check my order like I do any other time, it was the wrong order. So here I am once again in the drive thru line, explaining, they messed my order up and gave me the wrong order. The lady at the window asked me to pull forward and wait for my food..so I wait…and wait..and wait. After ONE HOUR I FINALLY received my food. This is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. FAST FOOD-should be fast, efficient, and timely. If I wanted to wait over an hour for food, I would have went in and sat down somewhere. It doesn’t help the fact my grandmother has health issues and we were trying to just hurry and get something to eat. McDonald’s YOU need to do better. YOU need to be fast, efficient, and prioritize orders properly. Online orders are supposed to be made to order and when I get there, should be ready! The manager treats these kids like they’re his friends . This grown man will stand there Chatting it up about personal issues to the kids who work there , like they care ?! While the customers are waiting on their order. these kids are only trying to get out of work and do as less work as possible, smiling and laughing at his corny jokes and acting interested in his dramatic home life and as soon as he turns around all the kids faces drop. they’re just trying to entertain him to get a paycheck on Friday. Anyone could see that in three seconds , Not the manager, I guess.
It’s like this every time I go in to get sweet tea a few times a week. The reason that the customers know all this is because we have to wait forevvvvvvver on a simple order because the kids working Behind the counter are moving like they have concrete shoes on.
There’s no sense of urgency here at all nobody cares , even the manager and You might as well toss up a coin as to whether your order is gonna be halfway right or not.
