Pizza Hut — Restaurant in North Carolina

I have had various experiences with this location in the past several years. I typically order online for convenience then pick up in person. Earlier this year I had an awful experience with the wait time (over an hour and 15 minutes for my order to be ready) so I decided not to use this location for a while. Tonight, out of convenience I decided to give it a try again. I placed my order online for 2 pizzas and one double order of breadsticks at 5:12pm. From past experience, I waited 30 minutes to arrive for pickup, even though after 19 minutes it told me my order was ready. The online system appears to be very out of sync for what actually happens in the store. I arrived at the store after 5:40pm, and my name was on the board, saying my order was ready. There were probably 20-25 other names stating their order was ready and about 7-8 people also inside waiting for their food. I also noticed the walls were dirty, there were two water fountains that appear to not have been cleaned in a while, there were several flies flying around in the lobby. I took photos of the dirty counter and water fountains and debated my order. The staff was nice to me, but appeared sloppy, no gloves, and only one had a hair net on. Then I hear the older female named Medley telling a worker “we can’t sell this shit, it’s burnt, we can’t sell it”. I proceed to ask how much longer on my order. She tells me she thinks they are working on it. Another 15 mins goes by and I speak with some other disgruntled customers who also ordered around the same time I did. I once again ask a young man named Johnathon (who’s name tag said general manager) about the estimated time my order would be ready. He printed off a receipt and went to the back, checking with those making pizza. He comes back to me around 6:50pm, saying that the small pizza was made but they couldn’t make the stuffed crust pizza because they were out of Italian sausage. He also told me someone tried to call me to let me know (I have no missed calls nor did I see any staff answer the ringing phone OR call out on the phone to me to tell me they couldn’t make with Italian sausage). I showed him my phone and he asked if I wanted them to do something different and I just told him to cancel my order, it had been from 5:12 to 6:50pm for them to just tell me that. I walked out, ordered from the Salisbury location and thankfully had a completely different and better experience (staff was super friendly, order ready in 15 mins and correct, and place was super clean). Sadly, this store in Tyro needs staff and lots of help. I hope this location improves, but I will tell you I will not be returning. Pizza...

When i walked in the guy who was there around 2:31 on 11/04/24 was very stern or maybe not his name was zeke I asked him could i get my wings well done/crispy cause who wants soggy wings right ? He gave me some bs line about it being a safety hazard if he was to cook them a bit longer ! I have went to so many places that serve wings. pizza place or no pizza place and i asked for them well done and I have never heard that. He told me they come as they are. I don't think it would have hurt him to make them extra crispy he just wanted to be a ass hole when in reality they should have took out time to clean up I'm pretty sure this place is not a busy place nothing wasn’t wiped off it had a smell of cleaning supplies i was breathing out my mouth the whole time, it was like I could light my cigarette in there, i was going to ask for a drink but I seen how dirty the glass was so i changed my mind. Hopefully my pizza is good service sucks atmosphere sucks i put in my order at 2:31 i paid with card he waited to tell me 30 minutes later after the girl that was working there went in the bathroom that she was throwing and not feeling well so i asked him could he refund my money he didnt know how to do that the girl finally came out to refund me my order. He got loud with me i think he suffers from anxiety thats common/ understandable i did put a lot of pressure on him covid is out and four other people pizza was ready so that mean she had been making other people pizza while she was sick. ABSOLUTELY the worst experience I’ve ever experienced.. Ordered a pizza tonight online, it had my address and everything right. Waited almost an hour & got a call asking what building we were in. Confused and told them it was residential not a building. Instead of bringing it, they tell us they need to cancel that order and redo another one (meaning pay again) and they would bring it out. So I drove to the store and the manager was HIGHLY unprofessional and said I would have to be refunded in 3 days and pay again for THE SAME PIZZA I’ve waited an hour for. I then asked if there was someone higher I could speak with, she wrote down a number so I stepped outside & called him, Jonathan answered the phone & kept saying it wasnt their fault and that was correct as to what the manager said. So at that time I walked back into the store and was going to cancel my order and go else where & she hands me the pizza and says “This will be our last time since you wasn’t happy , we won’t cancel the order , here you go” We got home and of course THE PIZZA IS COLD AND NASTY.
