The Captains Cap — Restaurant in North Carolina

Ordered a to go order over the phone, was not given a total to expect and when we arrived it seemed lower than it should have been but when the girl read our order back it was correct so I didnt question it. We get our food and the half gallon of tea that came with our family meal was missing but when we asked about it her reply was "oh, i didnt know you wanted it." We told her not to worry about it because it seemed like she had no intention of getting it anyways and we left. When we got home and went to unbag the food we discovered that the "family meal" that was supposed to be half orders of the 2lbs of shrimp and 16 chicken strips was more like 1/4 orders as we didnt have anywhere close to a pound of shrimp and only got 4 chicken tenders. We made it work but once we tasted the food we wished we had just gone somewhere else. The tenders were virtually tasteless, the hushpuppies are 10 times better at places like cookout, the coleslaw tasted like pure mayo and none of the food had any salt. This used to be my family's favorite restaurant but it was so disappointing that we probably wont be going back...

Absolutely disgusting!! The flounder is extremely thin cut and so over cooked to where it's just breading with almost no meat at all. The little bit of taste u get from the fries is sadly just freezer burn with hints of pepper. The steak like everything else is over cooked and bland.. ordered a medium rare and got a very well done that was cooked on something that I assume wasn't properly cleaned due to the fish taste. Even the ranch they serve for an extra fee is store brand bottle ranch as well as there horrific attempt at tarter sauce. Also got a spaghetti plate for my son and we opened up a can of Great Value macaroni and beef and split it instead of $67 dollar worth pure BS we received from here!! I should have known better than to continue ordering when the woman taking phone orders didn't know if they served surf and turf or what it even was for...

Ate at this establishment for the first and now the last time. Wait staff was nice but very short on customer needs. Ordered appetizer that was never received. The food was a salty flavorless burnt mess. Ordered the all you can eat white fish as their nightly special. It came out hot but tasted like hot burned salt. The hush puppies were burned black tasted like charcoal. The salad was small bowl of lettuce with two small pieces of cucumber, blah. Our slaw came to the table after we were mostly done with the meal. The slaw got one bite as was not very good. Captain D's seafood is better than here. It's a bad scene when french fries are the best thing to eat on a seafood plate. Do not recommend this place as I will not...
