Starbucks — Restaurant in North Charleston

We came here after lunch and there wasn’t a long wait. This location is clean and has a big pick up area that is alphabetized which I thought was unique from the others. I used my points to get a free nitro cold brew and was super excited for it. It didn’t take long but when I received it, it had ice in it. I’ve never had a Nitro cold brew with sweet cream with ice in it. It’s normally just served cold and that’s why I enjoy this style over a regular cold brew. I mentioned it to the girl behind the counter and asked her if she could just strain the ice and maybe top it off. She did attempt to strain out the ice but then it looked like she just topped it off with more sweet cream and not the nitro cold brew. The coffee was basically white at this point and not balanced, you can barely taste the coffee part. I was a bit disappointed so when I got home I just made a shot of espresso and added it to my coffee to make it less sweet and creamy. I've always liked this location but the past few times the drinks have been absolutely awful. Back in October my uncle said that not only did he get the wrong drink, but it was cold and he waited over 20 minutes. I laughed and said it must have been a one-off thing, but unfortunately I have come to find out that he wasn't kidding. I got a latte last week that was so hot I couldn't drink it for the first 5 minutes- which is not how a latte should be. I tried a almond milk honey flat white and it tasted like they mixed the honey with water and put in outdated almond milk. Today I tried a flat white and it's by far the worst flat white I've ever had anywhere. It had a chalky consistency in the taste that you would get from coffee that's been sitting in an urn at the gas station for hours. The baristas either need to learn how to pull shots correctly or not let the shots sit so long.

The staff is still overall friendly and the store stays clean, but between the wait times ranging from 5 minutes to 20 plus, and the inconsistent coffees, I can't recommend this...

Here on vacay. Day 1: “Iced americano with a tiny splash of heavy cream please” Hands me drink that looks white as snow. “I’m sorry can you please redo this that’s way too much cream. Just a tiny splash please.” Hands me second version that looks just the same. Barista: “The cream just looks really strong in these drinks” I just drive away not looking for a fight and drink what is probably 1/4 of heavy cream.

Day 2: 15 minutes of waiting on drinks inside. Barista hands us our iced coffee with light splash of half and half & heavy cream that again looks like Snow White and has no whip cream on top. We ask for a redo and put cream on side and my iced americano we ask for the cream on the side they had us a tall cup full of cream. The product waste alone here is ridiculous. Also the lids don’t fit right and are faulty we’re told. This Starbucks is in need of some leadership and training on what amount of cream is appropriate in drinks. A little goes a long way.
