Long John Silver's — Restaurant in North College Hill

Placed an online order. I asked for my food to be fresh and well done. Went in to pick it up, and the 3 ladies at the counter were a pleasure to speak with. I left with my food to go pick up my prescription but had to return because my chicken was not done, especially since I asked for it well done (I just looked at the chicken to determine it wasn't completely done). Once I entered the store, this rude fat white gut came out from the back, named Matt, asked me what the problem was. I told him my chicken wasn't all the way done and showed him how it wasn't done. He decided he wanted to get smart with me and say the chicken was done, it just wasn't to my liking. So I pulled the chicken apart and showed him how I couldn't pull it apart and how the batter wasn't done in the inside. He still continued to get smart with me and tell me it was done. So I told him to stop talking to me before I regretted coming into that location. He continued to talk smack and said he wasn't going to let me bother him. So I told him he wasn't going to bother me either. This man had the audacity to tell me to leave without my food. Then tried to give me a refund and like I told him, I didn't want a refund, I wanted my chicken the way I ordered it. I wasn't trying to get free food. I wanted my food made as I requested it to be. He continued being disrespectful and rude. He even snapped at the black employee working up front like he was talking to me. I ended up getting my chicken but I will never return back to this location again, especially while Matt is there. I will be calling corporate shortly and reporting him as well. I really hate to have write this negative review because of Matt's rude self because the ladies in the store were very nice and practiced great...

Quality of the food was fine. Service was fine. Only problem for me was the amount. For fast food, it's not cheap, so I do have some basic expectations. I ordered this 2 choices for $6 thing- so I got a couple pieces of chicken and fish for $6. Then they had this sign saying I could add a side and a drink for 2.49. The sign had a picture of like a dish of fries. I went with the fries, expecting a full order. The reality was that the box could barely accommodate the 2 pieces of chicken and 2 pieces of fish. They then just jammed a few fries into the box. It was clearly not an actual order of fries, nowhere near it. I really didn't even want the drink. I paid the extra 2.49 mainly for an order of fries and I really didn't get it. The doors are locked until they remodel for covid. If your order has a problem you have to get back at the end of the drive thru line. This should make them extra careful to send out satisfactory orders the first time. I couldn't wait, so I was...

This was a very pleasant experience for my husband and me. He is handicapped and on a walker. It isn't often that we go out to eat as he is very slow and it's difficult for him even though he loves going out to eat.. We needed to walk past the exit for to get to the entrance. An employee inside saw us and came and opened the exit door and said we could enter there. Thus significantly cutting down on the distance he had to walk. The food was fresh and hot. We got the Sunday special, which was all you can eat and we were asked more than once if we wanted more, what we wanted and how much. My husband wanted more fish and they brought it to our table and said be sure to let them know if there was anything they could do. They made us feel like they appreciated our business.
