Sun Rise House — Restaurant in North Haven

First I want to apologize In my several years of writing Google reviews I never skipped photos of the food but the food here was so amazingly good I just ate four servings of orange chicken! When I finally stopped I realized I ate everything before I took any pictures! Lol. I'm born and raised in Chicago and ate some of the most authentic and tasty Chinese food outside of China in our designated "China town" I have been up until now bitterly disappointed in all the Chinese restaurants in the entire state of Connecticut. The broccoli was tender and crisp and deliciously fresh. The orange chicken had REAL pieces of orange peel. Oh so slightly spicy but I don't eat anything spicy so most people would not have any issues with the spice level. It was simply PERFECT. The Crab Rangoon was the best I ever had and I have eaten in China town of both Chicago and San Francisco! This is the Only place I would even consider eating Chinese food in the entire state of Connecticut. I feed 3 hungry adults for $45 including tax and have some leftovers in the fridge...

The food was terrible, this was my first time ordering from here. Everything tasted like it had been frozen for months. I ordered shrimp low mein and couldn’t bring myself to swallow the first bite. I also ordered French fries and jumbo shrimp, which was just as terrible. My date had garlic shrimp and rice which he said had absolutely no taste. To top it off we had the food delivered to an outside event we were attending and they dropped it off with no utensils. We had to walk around the event asking the vendors that were there if they had utensils they could give us. It sucked having to do all of that for the food to be so horrible. We had to throw everything out....

My food arrived and upon opening it, I identified i was missing an item. I contacted them to inform them of this...rudely is was directed that they would not bring me the item which i was missing. Then when i said to give me a partial refund they got really rude and snotty and said no! They told me i could come pick it up myself...All this after waiting for nearly 1 and a half hours for my food to arrive. Customer service was very poor. I spent $65.00 and do not be expected to be treated in such a rude and unprofessional manner. I am still waiting for menufy to rectify this issue as i will not be a returning...
