La Playita Restaurant — Restaurant in North Las Vegas

Ive been here about 5 times because my girlfriend likes three things on their menu that she swears by. My first experience there my food was dry. Second time i had the steak and sure enough super dry and no flavor. Third time is a fool. Well my girlfriend insist snd i just swallow my pride. Well the third time i had a caldo. Well my stepson had one too and i got very little meat and his was loaded. They were suoer salty. Tasted like salt. So did my stepsons so we sent them back and tgey stilled charged me for one cause i ate part of the meat. I had only tasted it by taking a bite of the meat. Well right now my dilusional girlfriend wanted to eat there and like an idiot i said okay. Since she had her wisdom teeth pulled and is sble to chew harder foods. Well it finally bit her on the ass and not only did my meal come out bad but hers. Finally! I ordered the miguelito special which consists of steak and shrimp. My steak was super dry as always snd really really thin, burnt, hard, crispy, tasteless. The shrimp just dry. My girlfriend ordered one of her usual filetevala playita snd it was way different than before. This time they put small coctail shrimp on top and the vegetables were not grilled as usual. Even the waitress asked if she wanted them to regrill the stuff on top and of course not. Dont trust what they will send back and if you did not get it right the first time you dont belong in the kitchen. Just a crappy low quality place. Over rated. Tge bill was almost $60.00. Yeah $60.00 for crap. I can eat better at mcdonalds and i do not like Mcdonalds for...

Ive known this place since 1989, havent been here in years. The food is not the same. I believe is a different cook. I know they chhange owners/partnership every 3 yrs so with that change of employees. I didnt like the food this time plus im allergic to grains and I specify "no beans" and when they brought the plate it had beans I ask them if they would please do a new order and they didnt, they only wiped out the bean and brought back the food with beans on them of course I couldnt eat it. I only picked at the meat fearing I could get an allergic reaction. The meat tasted old, like reheated, had a very bad taste. Must say I had a Mexican combination, the enchilada sauce tasted awful nothing like before, the chile relleno also had like a fridge taste. I was very unhappy with food. I dont think I will come back. I will continue to go to their other restaurant where its always excellent in...

The food is authentic and the restaurant is very clean, even the restrooms. Best campechana cocktail I’ve tasted in Vegas. The octopus and shrimp were very clean. It tasted very fresh. The last time we went in the service was not the greatest. The waitress seemed to be in a rush and wasn’t very approachable. We had questions about some dishes and she just referred us back to the menu. To top it off, we realized that they charge gratuity. I was furious because there was only 4 of us in our party. The food was tasty like always but the service was not great. Most places charge gratuity for large parties which is understandable. Also, most restaurants will tell you before hand that the tip is already included and they didn’t. The waitress was tentative but she should also focus on her tone of voice and customer service.
