I hope "La Mojarra Loca" translates to "Da Bomb!" because the food here is MAGNIFICO! This review is for the location on Lake Mead. The first location I go to is actually the one on Maryland Boulevard (which was actually great as well, but it's difficult to get into because it is so popular.) However, the service and the food quality is equal here at the Lake Mead location. If you can't get in at the Maryland boulevard location, you should definitely try to get in at the lake Mead location. I'm pretty sure you've already reviewed the pictures and heard the reviews about the sizzling Mocajete bowls - sizzling stone bowls filled with any combination of grilled steak, grilled chicken, cactus and shrimp or octopus. I believe that these bowls are what put this restaurant and its chain on the map. The service is as quick as it can be, they always have 10 to 20 servers ready to assist you at any moment. You might get tired of people asking you in several languages if there's anything else they can do for you. However, that is how you know you're receiving great service. The primary language is Spanish, so don't be frightened if you don't understand. They already know what they are dealing with and they will work with you to make sure you get what you want. The menu has a picture of almost everything that they serve, so all you have to do is point if you don't want to talk. Plus, alcoholic beverages are universal in any language. I believe this restaurant and it's changed have been rated best of Vegas at least three times, so you'll know that you are definitely going to get an experience worth your money. Definitely put this on your bucket list...
Read moreDo Not Order For Pick Up!!! If You Do, Check Your Plates Before Leaving!!! I ordered a molcajete to go. When I got home, I looked at the food and it had no salsa, mushrooms, or nopal and the meat was not even cut. I immediately called the restaurant. After making 7 calls with no answer, I was able to get in contact with the "manager." I let her know about the food. She stated that I had gotten what I ordered (not true, it's not the first time I order the same thing from the same restaurant). She apologized and offered to make me another plate. I went back to the restaurant (such an inconvenience) and I was handed another plate to go. The manager asked me to check it before leaving and I did... same thing, no salsa, no mushrooms, and the plate had shrimps which I did not order. I let her know and she apologized again. I had to wait for another plate to be made. Then, after 10 minutes of waiting I was given another plate. I get home and this time the plate only had A FEW VERY SMALL PIECES OF MEAT. I ORDERED A MOLCAJETE FOR 2 PERSONS NOT A KIDS MOLCAJETE! At this point I RATHER write a BAD review then have to go back to the restaurant FOR THE 3RD TIME. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. VERY...
