A&M Pizza East Cumberland — Restaurant in North Lebanon Township

On my hour drive home from Reading I called in a cheese steak with pepperoni and no onions. I did not state a size as I don't go here often. Upon arriving I said order 43 and the guy at the counter said 42. I thought maybe I didn't hear the number right and thought it was my order as I was tired from working all day and my long drive. Upon getting home my husband opened his sub and it was covered in onions with no pepperoni. My husband hates onions and I can't eat gluten due to health issues. We called in to let them know and they said we picked up the wrong sub. They then started acting like we were trying to get free food because we don't have time to go all the way back there. He was completely ignorant. He eventually said we could pick up a new one tomorrow on my way home from work but I will never step foot in that place again after how ignorant they were on the phone. We ended up having to go somewhere else closer to get a cheese steak and ended up paying $27 for one good cheesteak tonight. I have always been a huge fan of A&M and always visited on a regular basis for the past 25 years. Over the past five year the service and quality of food at the Lebanon/422 location had definitely deteriorated so we slowly became less and less of a regular, but yesterday this location hit an all time low! I ordered a large cheese pizza for pickup. The gentleman was very polite and told me 25min. I was grabbing the pizza on the way home from grabbing my daughter at the local elementary school. We arrived early (15mins after placing the order) and to my surprise the pizza was ready. While I was waiting to be rung out I noticed a dried up piece of cheese on the pizza box and went to brush it off. When doing so I realize that the box was not even hot. I open the box I found an “old” pizza that had simply been warmed up. I question them and they lied and said it was made fresh. The gentleman offered to make me a new pizza but I simply did not have time. They refunded my money without any fuss, but was appalled that they would do that to a costumer! Place is getting by on their namesake alone. The food while mostly good is nothing special. I specifically asked for a two side orders of marinara sauce to dip the stromboli in (because this is the one pizza joint that doesn't include marinara on the side with their stromboli) that wasn't included, the boli wasn't cut at all. Soon saw it wasnt cut because the 4 pounds of grease that were dripping out of it made it fall apart like it the French army when invaded. The cheeseburger sub should have been named the lettuce and bread express. The funnel cake fries are $4.50 and nowhere does it tell you on their menu that you will pay 75 cents per fry. Was told to get there in half hour for the order arrived on time and returned home in less than 5 to find out the sub was ice cold and the funnel cake fries were sat in the bag so the powdered sugar was owning the bottom of the bag.
