Been a while since we've been here, but thought we would enjoy dinner on a Saturday night. Was greeted as we came in and sat right away in a comfy booth. Our server Sam was there to take our drink order promptly. Her demeanor seemed off as if she really didn't want to be there. Our drinks arrived promptly, the manager brought out our queso promptly with a very nice and welcoming hola! Sam brought our beer and took our order. This is where i feel it all quickly went down hill. We placed our order and I asked for another basket of chips as I knew we would be needing them. Her attitude still hasn't changed by this point, very "blah" and as if we were a burden. Our food came out hot and fast! Sam asked if there was anything else needed at this time. I asked for more chips since we were finished with the 1st basket 5 min ago and now our queso is cold and getting thick. Thought maybe she didn't hear me when I asked for more chips when we placed our order. 10 min later, she comes to check to see how we're doing and notices she forgot the chips again. Brings them 5 min later, doesn't acknowledge the fact that now myself and my daughter have needed refills on both my soda, her soda, and our waters. I continue to watch Sam serve a different table and walk around the restaurant meanwhile we have all finished eating for 12 min (yes, I timed this). She makes her way back to the table where we tell her we're ready for our check and asked for a box. She grabbed the box and literally dropped it onto the table and walked away. I was floored. My partner, who is the calmest of anyone I know, was even stunned. Our check comes out, crinkled and bent. After 10 min on the dot of waiting for her to come back to get our payment, my partner goes up to find her. He finds her in the back kitchen. He tells her we would like the bill split, as to which she didn't do. IF we do go back, I will honestly request a new server if we get her. I have served and bartended for 20 years and it takes a LOT for me to want to request a different server. I did inform the manager as well, and I suspect he already knew as he was coming to ask us how everything was as we were leaving. The manager was fantastic, the food was great, the restaurant is very clean (including...
Read moreWhat a pleasant surprise stumbling upon this new restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, setting the tone for a fantastic dining experience.
We opted for the street tacos combo, Chimichanga, and Fajitas, and each dish exceeded our expectations. The flavors were spot on, and every bite was a delight to the taste buds. The portions were also generous, ensuring we left feeling completely satisfied.
To complement our meal, we indulged in the house margarita, which was perfectly balanced and refreshing.
The staff was not only nice but also incredibly attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
One thing to note is that the portions are quite generous, so be sure to save room for dessert because you won't want to miss out!
Overall, this restaurant has quickly become a new favorite spot for us. Delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere—what more could you ask for? Highly...
Read moreAndale has their own location in North Liberty! Andale has long been our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area, but it's an even better experience to be able to sit down in a fun, comfortable, stand-alone environment.
Everything I loved from the original location has transferred. The employees are helpful and kind. The food is the bomb and the horchata is fresh. We especially love the street tacos. I can't even tell you which meat we prefer on the tacos because we mix and match every time we order and just love them all.
This will be a new regular...
