This was our first time here. We were seated immediately event though the full parking lot and space in front were full. They have a large shaded patio area out back so I think that is where most patrons were as the inside wasn't not full. This did delay our meal a little. Had we ordered appetizers the time would have been filled with that but we didn't. We were not upset at the time delay since we could see everyone was hustling. Our waitress (name starts with an M -- couldn't hear her) was really nice and even though she was busy she always stopped by to see if we needed anything.
It is loud in here and it isn't even the music. The patrons were talking so loudly I could hear some of their conversations clearly. Others were just loud mumbles.
The food was tasty. My husband had the Alehouse burger with Korean BBQ sauce on the side (it is SPICY so be ware!!) He liked it but I burnt my taste buds off with just a tiny lick. :) The fries are maybe beer battered or the like. They are one of my favorite kinds.
I had the charbroiled chicken salad. It was much like a chicken fajita taco salad. (chicken, green peppers, onions, salsa, fried tortilla pieces, cheese, ranch.) My thoughts on the salad would be branch out from romaine with a mix (too easy to get stuck with pieces with hard ribs that are bitter by themselves) and diced tomatoes rather than cherry tomatoes that I have to chop up in order to eat. Corn and black beans would be lovely too. It was nice to be able to add the salsa for flavor rather than the chicken being overwhelming.
We would come here again but maybe during the week or perhaps earlier in the evening so we can enjoy each other's company and not the company (talking) of the tables next to us.
No receipt, just a total from the waitress. It must be the Gen X in me, I want to see what I am paying for and not just a total with tax included. We paid cash to avoid the added on...

Atmosphere: It's a bit dark and there are TV's in every corner (which is to be expected in a college town!) It can be a bit rowdy when it's busy so keep that in mind.
Food: There is a pretty decent range of food, from flat bread pizzas to sandwiches and full dinners. I highly recommend their burgers. They range from the normal to the extreme. My friend had the Denver Boy (bleu cheese, bacon, peanut butter, and cajun seasoning) and she loved it! I was skeptical but after a bite the flavors really do go together soooo well. I'm a sucker for the Billy Craven (red pepper aioli, red peppers and goat cheese) recommend it on the chicken breast. We also usually get an order of the Szechuan Brussel sprouts as they're just wonderfully delicious. The twisted Mac N' Cheese is good too if you're not a veggie person!
Service: It ranges but it never strays off from good for me. When it's busy (which is alot!) you'll get pretty normal service but during the slow bits you get amazing service which is pretty average. They are always in a good mood though and their recommendations are pretty solid!
Drawbacks: I won't deduct a star because it's really not a businesses fault for these but things to keep in mind when you go: It's almost always busy except at odd times. Expect to wait 30 mins or so at normal dining times. Even after all this time of being in business it's still packed on most nights. Since it's busy a lot, it's often noisy as a lot of people bring out their families or friends and either through cheering at football or just talking loudly, it can be a bit hard to hear the person you're dining with at times. Neither of these are reasons not to patron in the slightest but rather something to keep in mind if you're looking for a quiet place to enjoy a meal or wanting to get in quick to...
Read moreWe ate there last night 7/7/16. The food was very good and the service was good. The problem was the extremely noisy patrons jammed into the booth next to our table. Judging by the number of empty martini glasses sitting on the table they all had quite a bit to drink and were literally yelling across the table at each other in a social but extremely inconsiderate way. I noticed people from the other side of the room staring at them and it was our misfortune to be stuck next to them. I mentioned this to the waitress who was sympathetic but did not offer to ask them to tone it down. This restaurant has a large outdoor patio, spacious bar are and a separate restaurant area . These folks were not eating, they were just drinking and it would have been more appropriate for them to have been seated outside or in the bar and not where families were trying to eat and relax. I mentioned this to the manager on duty and was told that patrons could sit wherever they choose. Needless to say, if you want someplace to relax with family or friends after a busy day at work, Reds is...
