I hope the owner is open to constructive criticism as my experiences with Sugapeach gets less desirable with every trip there. The food itself is still delicious! My issue is with the declining customer service attentiveness, the availability of menu items, and the cost to portion ratio. Prices have increased which can be understandable -but some of the portions have decreased. I am getting half the portion of sweet potato fries I used to get. The single serve dishes are even smaller than they used to be. And they don't seem to be able to prep condiments and extras well. It's a 50/50 chance of getting ranch or their sweet dipping sauce on any given day. And they don't consistently have the dessert sides advertised. I understand if its made fresh daily.... but make them fresh daily. Have someone come in specifically for prepping and making these things daily prior to business rushes-desserts,dipping sauces, portioning sides for consistency if necessary. And I don't get the cornbread side included with the meal almost every time I go without reminding them. Read moreI had a taste for some chicken & fish so I decided to give this place another try, since the 1st time I came here the food was decent except for the Mac & cheese which tasted a little watery and the collards was standard for a restaurant. So I ordered the same thing from the first time and for 40+ yrs I have always eaten white meat from the chicken. So again, I was specific that I only wanted white meat just to get home and I have dark meat in my container. I decided to call to the restaurant to discuss the mixed up in food and the lady who works there had the nerve to tell me she didn’t here me say white meat and hung up the phone without any explanation. How rude was that I didn’t have a problem going back to exchange the meat because I paid too much money not to be able to eat my food. But the fact that she was ignorant and not being held accountable for her mistake, I can take my business elsewhere. Read moreI would have rated the food as a five star but I ran into a little issue that was part me problem, I showed up at two in the afternoon. I do want to tell you up front you’ll probably drop a $20 for a meal and drink. The chicken and fish was done perfectly!!! I loved the fried okra as well Now the Mac and cheese scared me but I took a nibble and if you like cold bottom of the pan Mac and cheese than this was for you. The candy yams were cold but I imagine they would have been good hot. The coleslaw was ok The folks who ran it, I assume, was the nicest you could be although once the food hit the table we never saw a person until we left. On my dads dr appointments we always try a new restaurant and once in awhile we go back. We will go back to this one but we want to try during a meal time like lunch or supper.
