Iron Skillet — Restaurant in North Little Rock

My fiancee and I were not wanting the same old restaurant this evening so we decided to go to this place,. The Iron Skillet is the restraunt that's adjacent to the 86 truck stop at the Galloway exit when you are coming into North Little Rock AR. The first exit when you are coming from Memphis and you can't miss it with all of the different semis and travel trailers and Hot shot set ups that fueling up on diesel. Truck drivers are able to get a shower and Wash clothes and sit down on recliners and get a message while sitting there. Not to take from the review of the restaurant this is the one I have to be heard on. The food was great and the employees are just as awesome as well and they are some of the nicest people that I have met. I forgot their names. The 2 waitresses had attitudes that definitely showed up and showed out. They were not worried about the hour My girlfriend and I showed up. It was their time to start cleaning up but they were not tripping they welcomed us in an old fashioned way. They were outstanding and funny and very well mannered. The friendly service was also extended to the kitchen as well. The cook is got it right from the stsrt and the Man puts his foot in his cooking and I don't mean it in a disrespectful way. I came in around 01:15 2-13-19. The young waitress with the glasses came up to me and I said hi, all she asked is what do you want to drink 😳. Sweet tea it was. I placed my order, it is usually one of the items I order at every Iron Skillet. Steerburger medium, the eggs I switch up and this time I did French toast. What I got was a burnt over peppered hockey puck along with over peppered hash browns, that's the least of my problem. The French toast and eggs were filling enough and were the spotlight of the meal. What was horrible was the customer service I received, I may be a truck driver, but I've been a manager at a restaurant and the people walking through the door is your paycheck. I did not get a greeting just what do you want to drink? But she got one from me. What is your order was what came next, I don't know what the hell is going on in that young lady's life but it needs to be left at the front door when she comes to work. She did not say not a word to me when she nor did she even smile at me anytime we interacted. So her tip was to smile more often and to say thank you as I thanked her (I didn't get a response to any of the thank yous, just the cold shoulder). Amazing Iron Skillet at the Petro Travel Centar in America. Very big restaurant and so clean. So many seats available and you can seat by yourself. Stuff is so nice and friendly, they are with smiles and they are ready to help you sith your order. I was ordering T-bone steak with mushed potatoes and mac and cheese. It’s coming with a bread , like tosted bread. Steak was well done and was very good quality. Server who worked over there was super nice and friendly. After that I ordered apple pie with ice cream and this dessert was absolutely amazing. Pie was hot and mixed with ice cream was absolutely amazing! Petro Travel Centar is so big and this restaurant is very good for truck drivers, because restaurants is big and food is always fresh, tasty and delicious. Always they served good food and fresh. Salad and soup is available every day. Petro Travel Centar have more then 200 spot for truck parking. Parking for cars is too available and is very big too. Like all my recommendations for this place and this restaurant. I just saw prices is to big I think. Like for one dinner is more then 40$. Like guys, supposed to be litle down. You have to understand truck drivers. But anyway food is good and sometimes I like to stop at Iron Skillet and eat something fresh and hot.
