I’m not sure why this place got such high ratings because it was average (AT BEST). The eggs weren’t done correctly, the potatoes were undercooked and not flavored, the bagels were those garbage frozen bagels, and the raspberry crumb cake might be one of the worst desserts I’ve ever eaten in my life. So bad that the waitress took it off my bill.
The corn beef hash was good, and my wife liked her $5.00 pancake. Yes, that’s right! Five bucks for one pancake.
The place is small as hell, and the seats at the counter were so uncomfortable, I had to stand because my butt hurt so bad from sitting at them.
I’m guessing they got high ratings, judging by the looks of the clientele that were there, from old Skooks that frequent the place to hang out during retirement like they do at Dunkin.
If you’re not from the area, there is one rule you should always follow:
When a Skook recommends a place to eat and they say, “It’s cheap and you get a lot of food, STAY AWAY! Yes, you’ll get a lot, but it’s garbage. This is one of...
Read moreThis spot is deff a diamond in the rough. My wife and I have been on the hunt for a GOOD breakfast spot. So we've tried a few and let me tell yall, the search is over!
Our server Debbie was awesome! Had a great sense of humor and had great recommendations for first timers.
My wife had a breakfast sandwich, and I had corned beef hash, 2 over medium eggs, home fries, sausage patties and a fresh link. My wife said her sandwich was the perfect ratio of eggs, meat, and cheese on a croissant. The sausage patties are deff full of flavor, savory and spot on for what you want in a breakfast meat 💯 Eggs were done perfectly, potatoes w onions were melt in your mouth bangin! The fresh link was good, but I'd choose the patty everytime. Can't wait to go back. All homemade, family feel to this spot. Deff made lifers out...
Read moreA hole in the wall restaurant but let me tell you! This is one of our FAVORITE breakfasts we have enjoyed in 2024 thus far. Its very small town charm meets GREAT food that is easy on the pocket book and satisfying. Our server (Debby) was such a hoot - she immediately knew every face in the place and made it a point to learn about us out-of-towners too.
The bacon, pancakes, smoked sausage + omelets (bacon omelet + spinach and cheese) is what we ordered. Though the coffee was also nice and strong - not watered down by any means!
Wish we were staying through Monday to get breakfast here...
