I have mixed feelings about Benedicts, but mostly good! Tl;dr: Go to Happy Chef right down the road if you are looking for a local, good home cooked breakfast at a reasonable price. To start out, The decor/atmosphere is SO cute! I loved the tiling and general color scheme. We went at 1:30pm on a Thursday and it was PACKED. I was disappointed to be seated so close to two other couples on either side of us. Even though they were both speaking at a reasonable volume, It left my husband and I feeling awkward to talk about anything since there really is no intimacy when youre seated so close together. Regardless though, that's something we can take into account in the future when going just the two of us.
As far as food goes, we highly recommend the Bostock for an appetizer if youre looking to share. (Keep in mind, during their busy times it may come out with your other food, and the table for 2 tables are not very big) genuinely though, the bostock was awesome and the one menu item we were blown away by.
My husband got the Steak Benny, which he enjoyed but said it may not have been worth $21. We've gone to plenty of other local places which are more reasonably priced and just as good. It wasn't that there was anything wrong with it, he said the value just wasn't there.
I got the biscuits and gravy, and I enjoyed it for the most part. The biscuits were definitely on the drier side, and the sauce they provided wasn't enough to make up for it. It definitely wasn't a smothered biscuits and gravy like ive had at many other mom and pop shops. I didn't hate it though, and the flavor to saltiness ratio was balanced nicely.
Overall we spent about $50 for the two of us with water for drinks. If youre looking for an upscale breakfast place its alright, and you probably won't leave unsatisfied!
If you want more value for your money though, treat yourselves to Happy Chef right down the road. :)
P.s Benedicts, please please PLEASE fix the other toilet in your women's bathroom. As a pregnant woman I had to pee twice and each time there was one person already in the stall, with eventually one or two other people waiting beside me. Maybe it was just the wrong time of the day, but I hope it...

Now that by itself might scare some folks away. Once seated, we waited about 10mins before a server came to us to get the drink order. After that there was some serious delays in progress. It took another 10 minutes to get the food order. Then we waited about 40 mins for the food to arrive. So to put it bluntly, it took a long time!
Obviously the restaurant was crowded and many people walked away, but it is very modern and has a nice feel. The waiting areas was a bit awkward as we sat in bench chairs surrounding tables that were eating, so we occasionally starred at each other in jealousy as they ate while we watched (not sure if that is all part of the plan?)
The food finally arrived, we had an order chocolate pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon, along with a classic Benedict, Smoked Trout Benedict and a Standard breakfast. The trout was good, however, the ham on the classic seemed to just be deli slices and was recognizable as possibly Canadian Bacon, but it really didn't taste like it. The pancakes were nice and fluffy, but seemed to lack consistency from one cake to another. The eggs were poached to perfection, and were the hit on all plates. The breakfast potatoes were nice, but way over cooked.
There was a nice selection of drinks from the bar and mini donuts!!
I will probably try it again to see if they can speed up the process, otherwise, it was your average breakfast fair, but a...

Enough of the platitudes, letâs get down to business:
First time at Benedictâs was 8am breakfast on Independence Day. Diner had been opened only 2-3 days. Everything was flawless. Bottom line, youâd think by the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere, this diner had been around for a decade.
Try the Monte Cristo, delicious! The jam on the side has a spicy kick to it, only suggestion is to offer a sweet jam option. And more powdered sugar sprinkled liberally over the sandwich please.
Canât wait to try other eats; the menu is exhaustive. As for price, donât worry about it. You get what you pay for. Besides, itâs not much more expensive than the chain restaurants in town. Benedictâs sources their ingredients from area farmers.
Tyson, the GM. Smart, hardworking people make for sustainable businesses and relationships. Iâm very happy Tyson found this place or they found him; whatever the case Tyson knows food and Tyson knows service! Overall, the staff is cheery, helpful, and welcoming.
The ambience is bright and homey, enough of a modern touch but not overpowering. Love the olâ fashioned up front diner seating, reminds me of Emma Krumbees.
Just go there...
