Coops Pit BBQ — Restaurant in North Miami

This is my new go to bbq spot! Everything was so yummy. i’ve seen a line here sometimes, but this I got there around 10pm and was able to order right away. The guys there were really nice, I’m a shy person and get nervous speaking to people I don’t know, but they were kind and didn’t mind. I ordered a rib platter with two sides. Originally I asked for a baked beans and corn, but ended up getting mac & cheese and corn. I’m usually not a fan of mac & cheese, HOWEVER this mac & cheese was delicious. I couldn’t stop eating it! and the ribs were so juicy and flavorful. Although I’m used to a thicker sauce on the ribs, this spicy sauce was just as delicious. I even started dipping pieces of mac & cheese in it. The play cost a little over $14 and you get a good amount of food for what you pay. I didn’t even finish my plate. I will definitely be...

AWFUL SERVICE!

I’ll never go to this place again because their service sucks. They had us waiting, in the hot sun, for over an hour… then when it was our turn, they told us they were out of more than HALF of the side orders. Plus, they don’t even have drinks on the freaking menu. How do you have a food truck, IN HOT Florida, and you don’t have drinks on the menu?

To make it worse, they had stupid music blaring from their speakers… tell me, how is one supposed to hear their name called that their order is ready with music blasting??? No one was dancing.. this isn’t a block party.

You’d think they’d be intelligent enough to have one of their workers run to the store and get packs of bottled water and hand it out to the customers… having to wait in the hot sun for hours.

The sauce was so damn good, too bad the food was room temperature - like all of it the corn, baked beans, chicken AND ribs- even though I waited 25 min. With only 4 people in line. With that long a wait with 4 people in line I’m still perplexed why the food was room temperature-??? Ruin everything for hungry people Would’ve gotten 5 stars if the food was hot or even well warmed even without drinks , desserts and collard greens not available
