So, let me start off by saying "Truck Stop". Drivers stop to fuel and eat. Slow service backs up the fuel line. The food choices are limited after midnight but yet still can not maintain service and provide fresh, hot food. The fries were pulled before being completely cooked, and then placed in the fry boxes on the wait station before the food was even made. Then they bagged the food and fries, sat bags on counter and then proceeded to make the hot chocolate and the hot caramel macchiato. They placed the drinks on the service counter without marking either one and then handed us our bags of food. The fries were so cold and limp, every fry bent in half and drooped like a wilted flower. It was sad but we had all ready tried to get dinner from across the street but the waitress left to go home and left the place empty to change her clothes. So we had no time to complain or wait any longer for fresh, hot food. I have never had a caramel macchiato before but it was kind of water flavor until the bottom and it was a nasty swirl of sauce. I am not sure that is how it should be. The hot chocolate was the same way. I appreciate that there was service and food provided but I really wish people would step up on the quality of service provided. As truckers we sacrifice alot to be out here. We don't get to be home, to have home cooked meals, sit at our dining room tables, sleep in our beds. It can be tough out here, the least we could get is good service when we stop at establishments whose core purpose before the expansion of customer service broadened was to...
Read moreLocal here. Wasn’t impressed. Largely disappointing. Went through the drive through Monday morning for a birthday breakfast. I was the only vehicle in the drive through at around 10am. I ordered a large black coffee and a couple breakfast sandwiches. I’m not sure what’s happening in that place but I rolled on out and got onto the the highway took a sip of my coffee and spit it back out on my windshield. I’m not sure who brewed the coffee but it tasted like it was filtered or strained through a dirty sock. I said ok... maybe it’s just just me. Took a bite of my first sandwich and near barfed. Cold as cold could be and stale to boot. They just made these not but a couple mins before I attempted to eat how does something get that cold that quick? The cheese wasn’t even melted!!! I threw the rest away and didn’t even attempt the breakfast potato..... Who is checking quality control in this place. I’ve had decent meals here in the past but this was just unacceptable !come on North Platte!!! Seriously I’m absolutely scared to suggest a good place to eat in this town when asked by friends and family out of town cause every single place here seems like you may get one good meal then the next visit is absolute garbage. Getting very annoyed as this problem. And it never seems to change. If your driving through pass this embarrassment by and go find a different place to eat and save yourself the disappointment. Don’t think I...
Read more7/19/22 @ 21:14 A reminder of why I hardly ever get McDonald’s(incompetent workers) Latino boy(karate kid) “employee” wearing black bandanna when asked how to order a Homestyle Burger on the kiosk because they don’t take orders at register , he replied crispy chicken sandwich, I said that’s not a burger.. I’m wanting a home style burger and again he said crispy chicken. I had to ask another employee because I thought maybe he was mentally challenged, they gave me a suggestion and I ordered a combo on the kiosk, it said to grab a number tent and type it in and set it on my table and that they would deliver it to me. When order was ready they hollered out my number instead of delivering it which wouldn’t have been a problem if they were busy or understaffed but there were plenty of employees standing around chatting instead of cleaning the lobby area where there wasn’t a clean table to sit at(I cleaned one) and the floor was nasty and sticky. The burger was ok, I specified one slice of cheese they put two slices and burger was thrown together sloppy, fries were stale, fountain drinks under carbonated had to purchase a drink at Love’s. I could’ve been lied to when I asked what crispy chickens name was but i was told it was Brandon. For the love of god Mickey D’s train your employees proper customer service(to listen) and make them learn the menu before putting them out to...
