My fiancĂ© and I have gone to green basil every once in awhile maybe about 3 times a year, not very often. Despite this, we still usually always have the same waitress (Lattanna it said on our receipt) and previously she had been very welcoming and attentive not sure if she was just having a bad day yesterday but as we walked in she welcomed us with a burdensome face as though she was sick of seeing people walk in already, when she gave us the menus she didn’t hand them or set them on the table she literally did a frisbee toss and quickly walked away as they continued to land on the edge of the table where we had to scoop them out of. Then we got a few minutes to check the menu but my fiancĂ© wasn’t ready to order yet and she comes quickly and says “what did we decide” (still with a very stern and unhappy face). My fiancĂ© is always the type to try to accommodate to peoples feelings and sacrifice his own needs so although he wasn’t ready he quickly picked something random on the menu in order to not make the waitress even more upset to have to come back to us (in his mind). Long story short, we felt way less than welcomed to the restaurant this time and as though we were a burden that needed to be dispatched quickly (it wasn’t even busy at all with only about two more families sitting in other tables) we also received less than friendly service, and to top it off my fiancĂ© felt uncomfortable the whole time because of her attitude and did not enjoy his food (and we STILL tipped 20% and we always do so that can’t be the problem). I’m sure everyone has bad days but even on the worst (I have years working in retail and customer service) I would never let it affect my job and the customers experience especially this being a family restaurant. It’s sad because we always loved the food here but I’m pretty sure we won’t be going to this place anymore and if we do, we will be ordering take out to avoid any other bad dine-in experiences. I leave it at 3 stars because the food is undeniably great plus the owner (we had the pleasure of meeting him once) is a wonderfully pleasant man, it’s just this experience...

First of all, I’ll begin by saying that I have eaten here a number of times before and their food is always generally good. I recommend it to ppl and everything! However, it seems like they are never well staffed to meet the demand they have generated.

This day I convinced my coworkers to order from here so that it could be our new go to food place. I ordered online. The order was to be ready between 6:20 and 6:25. I got there at 6:36 for pick up and my food wasn’t ready until 6:51. I then go to get my food from the counter and the lady didn’t want to give it to me despite my showing her my receipt
it was busy so ok.

I’m rushing and don’t check my order
(even tho I didn’t have time for them to correct the order). One of my coworkers has a sensitivity to carrots and onions 🙃 so she requested no carrots or onions in her drunken noodles
. And she got carrots and onions, so she could not have any of it. They did not put carrots or onions in the panang curry as requested but the sauce had an odd slimy quality. I’m unsure why. I have had their curries before and they are usually great!

Generally made for a very disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone who doesn’t want...

I don't typically leave a negative review----This restaurant was chosen by me for my Birthday dinner after reading all the great reviews! WHAT A MISTAKE! We called and made a reservation for 15. They had 1 waitress working and 1 waitress in training. (on a Friday Night)The place was freezing(we complained several times--even showed them the thermostat was set on 57 on a 20 degree night); the food was horrible but most disappointing was that they served us 2 meals at a time with 10-15 minutes in between the next 2 of us getting served-- and my son never received his meal at all! The waitress was sweet and apologetic but didn't change the fact that it took over an hour and a half to get 14 meals to the table. They cannot handle a large party and the food tasted like it came out of a can. Will not return! I actually had to ask them to remove my son's meal on the check after never receiving it! And then they took another 20 minutes to get us the check! ...

We were in the neighborhood and someone asked Do you like Thai? “YES, we do!!! Green Basil is great! The red curry was delicious as was the chicken Basil. We ordered sticky and coconut rice which cost extra, worth every cent! I went with the level 2 for spicy (thinking 1 would be too mild and 3 way too spicy) we’ll, it was VERY SPICY indeed, the waitress warned me. I still enjoyed it very much but will try level 1 next time with my red curry! The super spicy flavor combined with the sweetness of the coconut rice
ooh la la, chef’s kiss! The service was awesome, it’s a family run business and the waitress and host was hustling! No slacking she and her father-in-law kept customers happy. We got there at about 7 and most tables were full about 30 mins in- on a Wednesday! Definitely looking forward to returning especially since I’ve always wanted to try this place every time I drove by.

The food is pretty good, and the prices are great! I got pad se ew, and my husband got the drunken noodles. We got the brussel sprouts for appetizer along with the rangoons. The sprouts were all roasted and delicious. The waitress was handling all the phone calls, take out orders, AND waiting of tables so she was incredibly busy. She kept mentioning to everyone, though anyone with eyes could have seen how busy she was. There was a man there who was cleaning up and apparently directing her who could have helped out a bit more but didn't seem that interested, which seemed like a poor allocation of labor. I thought that he could have helped her more considering the line out the door for take out. It just seemed poorly managed on a Friday night.
