6/30/23 7:30 pm So where to start. We walked in and everything seemed fine. The place looks clean and neat. We sat outside and ordered rice balls as an appetizer. Chicken Marsala and Linguine with Clam Sauce and a Salad that came with our Entrees. All of it was horrible. The clam sauce tasted like it was from the can and so did the Chicken Marsala. The Salad had dead leaves in it! We left it on the table and told our waitress we did not like the food. Service gets 1 star because the busboy who served our table was very polite and friendly. The waitress seemed very busy even though the place was 2/3 empty and when we got the bill and saw we were charged in full for everything even though we did not eat the entrees.. we realized the type of people running this place. Stay away!! These are the type of owners who care about money over everything else! If you have ever had authentic Italian food you will automatically realize what I am talking about immediately. We should have walked out after the rice balls but we decided to give them a chance on the entree. For that I will take the blame and pay my bill and leave but I have no idea how this place has so many stars. I 100% believe the owner is NOT Italian! No self respecting Italian restaurant owner would serve this.. on that note most restaurants will offer to comp a meal if you don’t like it or offer a discount or something to compensate. They did not and not that I wanted a discount but it’s the offer that counts. It’s shows you care about your customers which this place...

I have frequented I’m Fornello Restaurant many times and was never dissatisfied, however this last visit was a disaster. My wife and I decided to use a gift certificate a close friend of ours gave to us to celebrate our 41st anniversary. We made reservations and arrived on time and seated promptly. We placed our order starting with snail salad and Calamari with hot peppers on the side. The waiter returned with our calamari and informed us they don’t have snail salad. We were okay with that and started to eat our calamari which was spicy hot as they did not put hot peppers on the side. So hot it was painful to consume. We each ordered scollop dinners, after 30 minutes the waiter brought to us two fish dinners and they made an error. They were sorry and they would correct the order, we asked them not to rush and take their time. Three minutes later our scollop dinners arrived and when we bit into them they were raw. Waiter never came back to see how we were doing. We asked for doggie bags and decided to leave. Asked why we did not finish our dinner, we said they were raw and offered nothing to us. We paid the bill gave a 20% tip because we are not mean people. We should have gone to the Old Canteen where we are always treated special. Needless to say 41st anniversary dinner was horrible and there is a slim chance now we...

My family and I have been going here for many many years.. You'll get "fed hill" quality taste and portions without paying an arm and a leg. Anthony and his staff have always gone out of their way to ensure an amazing experience. Their staff is always kept informed of the specials they have which is nice they're willing to mix up their menu a little bit. "Momma Lanni" makes THE BEST PASTA & BEAN Soup... Yes, Pasta and Bean... Just like my grandmother use to make. "Pasta Fah-Zoul" We usually start off with Fried Mozz, then we'll get into our fresh salad w/ oil & vin, then into our entrees. My daughter and Wife usually get chicken parm w/ potato and veg (no garnish) *LoL, I'm sure you know who is writing this review now eh? ) and I'll usually get the Steak A-La-Mama which is a PERFECTLY grilled steak w/ garlic and rosemary sauce put on top, along w/ garlic mashed and veggies.

Their staff is always kind, usually giving refills on drinks without having to even ask. They recently redid the inside and outside and it's truly a diamond in the rough. If you're able to dine outside or in their back patio area, you're going to want to take a few photos and post them to social media.. I bet some people will think you're eating at a fancy establishment outside of Rome....

Updating review to reflect most recent interaction with ownership. Food quality has steadily declined with the opening of their new restaurant Crudo. Clearly professionalism has as well- see screenshot. Updating my review to reflect extreme unprofessionalism. We will not be returning per owners request. For the record we have been giving this restaurant business for years. We've celebrated many birthdays, anniversaries, mothers/fathers days here as well as given them our patronage throughout the pandemic. I have referred many people here and I will be sure to share my recent experience with them. They don't value customers or their honest feedback. The quality of food has recently declined and clearly their professionalism has as well. I wonder if Mama is aware of this behavior towards patrons. This really saddens me. Such a shame. If you want good food, great service and humble, kind ownership visit The Social, Bella Luna, CAV, Trattoria Romana, Pats Italian kitchen. Rustica Cucina or anywhere that is kind to their patrons.

Came here with friends. I had the Veal Francese, and honestly, it wasn't that good. There was a very strong salty ocean flavor to it with garlic and lemon. It might just be my taste buds, but I didn't like it. However, I tried my friend's Cacio e Pepe, and that was great, and I heard that the Chicken Parm was great as well. I also had the Fried Calamari. However, I would prefer if it were more crispy. The Foccacia bread was nice, and the house salad was great. Service was decent. They gave us time and choices and were generally great. However, they dropped a few things and small minor details like that. Otherwise, I think this is a great place to go out with friends to. I just don't recommend the Veal Francese.

Cute, authentic Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The bar area is very small so most likely you will be eating in the indoor or outdoor dining room. They serve you bread and salad with your meal, the salad was ice cold which always deadens the flavor a little bit. We ordered the calamari to start which was slightly overcooked but not to the point of complaining. I had the tortellini which I thought was really good except I didn't eat the clumps of prosciutto in top (it could have done without it as the mushrooms were really good). My husband ordered the baked scrod and said it was cooked well but liked the stuffing better at Uncle Tony's. Overall, it was good.
